I remember that they actually “buffed” the makeshift shotgun, and gave it an extra shot, going from 2 to 3.

The lever action isn’t bad, but three out of its four appearances, it was just simply outclassed. Chapter 2 season 8 had it going against the pump, chapter 3 season 4 had it going against the prime, and chapter 4 season 3 had it going against both the havoc and the sharp tooth.

So I do have a defense of two of these shotguns, those shotguns being the Two Shot and the Dragon Breath. First, the Two Shot before the buff was pretty mid I'll give you that, but AFTER THE BUFF??? That thing was a BEAST. The fire rate was CRAZY, same for the damage. And second, the Dragon Breath was actually REALLY GOOD the two times it came back. The first time in Chapter 3 where the main reason you would pick it up is because it was the only shotgun that could ONE SHOT. Both the Purple and Gold could one shot. And that is the same reason it was good in Chapter 4, because similarly it came out when there were no one shot shotguns.

To be honest the dragons breath shotgun is one of my favourites, because of the fact that if I hit a snipe on somebody and come use this shotgun it’s an insta elimination. And you can burn through peoples boxes while they are healing, I get that if you are in a box with someone it burns you too, but you have enough time to get out and it’s good more than it’s bad.

I liked the Makeshift Shotgun. The whole idea of it was that it was a makeshift pump shotgun. I remember it used to just have two shots and a slower fire rate, but it was given an extra shot and given a better fire rate.

The dragon’s breath seems bad when included in a traditional loadout, but if you based your loadout around the dragon’s breath it was actually quite strong. I often picked up multiple so that I could switch between them and absolutely COOK players. The time in Chapter 3 when both the dragon’s breath and the heavy sniper were in the game was one of my favorite moments in the game.

Funny thing is, the huskbuster (the shotgun the makeshift shotgun shares its model with) is arguably *the* best shotgun in save the world.

The reason I like the two shot shotgun so much is because I play zero builds. You have a lot of chances to hit both shots in zero builds as long as you aim right and it even has a somewhat decent range, which makes is pretty good for zero build. I understand why it's bad in builds, though.

The dragons breath is good because only around 3 pellets need to headshot in addition to the body hit to one tap. For comparison, all of the pellets need to headshot on a pump shotgun to one shot

The Lever action was a mid to good shotgun. The hammer shotgun is much worse, Imo its the worst shotgun in the game rn. The gatekeeper and combat are infinitely better this season

The only thing I disagreed with in this video is when Tyluh said he considered putting the woodstake shotgun on there, the woodstake is actually a VERY good shotgun in my opinion, for some reason it has a massive reticle but the bullet spread isn't as large as the reticle would suggest

0:46 better fire rate than the pump, around the same damage, same spread, and a little less range, but who cares about shotgun range 1:49 probably because the legendary can one shot head shot, but that is trash 3:32 I can disagree and I will 5:00 as other people have said, it’s meant for mobility, just like the flintnock, but better fire rate magazine size and reload time

I feel like the dragons breath shotgun should be reworked so that it loads the shells 1 at a time at a rate that makes reloading the gun fully take the same time as it does now. The shotgun should still shoot all the shells in the clip at once, but do more damage based on how many shells it has in the gun. And then maybe give fire immunity or something while holding idk.

I only agree with the makeshift and primal, all the other shotguns on this list are awesome

Lever shotgun is one of my favourite shotguns, makeshift shotgun also is cool. With the dub you can fly over the map, cool. Two-shot shotgun is neutral for me, but not bad. So I don't even understand where people got the idea about those shotguns

What you need to remember for weapons people like is that it often isn’t about how good the weapon is, but how fun they are to use, I agree the Dub or the Dragon’s breath shotguns weren’t that good, but they were fun to use, and that’s why they’re fondly remembered.

I always used The Dub as a rotation item. I love The Dub with a burning passion purely because it has really good movement potential. Plus, you could basically do a mini thunder-pump with it (one shot to knock yourself above someone and shoot said person with the second shot).

As a zero build player lever shotgun and two shot shotgun are my favorites

The Dub is Meant to be used like a flint knock pistol, not a normal shotgun. you see it as a normal shotgun, and thats why you rank it low.

Crazy thing about the makeshift, its better than the gatekeeper damage and fire rate wise. But the gatekeeper is so much better (ignore mods for my sake) because it has that extra bit of range alongside a better headshot multiplier. Crazy how the little stuff affects the gameplay

My opinion: Lever: Is pretty mid Dragon: Bad, but funny Makeshift: Most underrated, is actualy a goood shotgun The Dub: Same as the Dragon Shotgun Two Shot: Same as the Lever Primal: Is still a extremly strong shotgun

The dragons breath has the highest damage of any shotgun ever. When it was in the game I didn't like it either, but you can't deny that it ”factually” is the best shotgun ever because of the 190 body damage. I belive that competetive players only used that shotgun in Ch 2 S 5 because of the damage. Plus you can just build with brick or metal. It's the most annoying shotgun to use, but it's nowhere close to the worst shotgun ever.

I feel like the Dub was supposed to be mobility weapon than actual offense weapon

I’m thankful the combat shotgun isn’t on this list because it’s actually really good. The original one was very potent, having more range and a really tight spread with the downside of lower damage. While it did have lower damage then say the old pump and tac, it was noticeably more consistent at further ranges then it and the tac. As for it now, the one in creative is all kinds of messed up. I have no idea what they did to it to make it that broken, but it’s not pretty. As for the new modifiable version, it’s nice, I like it and it feels very similar to how I remember it.

Me personally I liked the dragon Yeah it had a ton of downsides like one clip and slow reload But that didnt matter when you could just one shot your opponent 💀

The dragons breath was my favorite shotty in chapter 3 when paired with the flying nimbus. Just cancel mid flight and thunder pump people for everything

Personally I would've added the heavy shotgun (the new version), yes it hit hard and had good range but the accuracy you needed to hit a shot was insane. If you hip fired this weapon it was near impossible to hit your opponent, and when you ads the radical was so tiny it was super hard to hit. Edit: the reason why it was so hard to hit was because this shotgun shot a single shot slug not pellets which means you had to hit your opponent perfectly to do some good damage.

Still gonna do it. The two-shot shotgun still is the best shotgun in the game. it hits over a 100 always. mythic if you hit both in the head does 198. A tac you need to hit like 4-5 times before you get the kill again it will only take 3 out of the 4 shots to kill someone pretty consistent.

Like if the gatekeeper shotgun is an auto shotgun

Something I will say that’s a plus for the makeshift shotgun. Not saying it’s viable but sypher pk pointed out it shoots faster than the normal pump. If you wanted to use a high fire rate shotgun you would use the primal shotgun, but it’s worth noting.

idk i for some reason adored the lever action in the sense that i never felt it played poorly. It reminded me more of the og pump post nerfs, except it shot faster. It hit hard af from close range idk what advantage u think u have using any shotgun from medium/ long range over an smg or ar. user error maybe broski

The Dub fills a relatively small niche; of being a campers Trump card. with the current map, it wouldn't be that good, because their isnt enough towns, but when it came out, I would grab one, and hide in a house, until someone entered... lets just say that I may have made someone quit
