You can purchase razor savers that greatly extend the life of a cartridge (by months) and I agree the heated labs razor is the best cartridge I’ve ever used.

Another excellent review,, Larry! I hope all is well with you and yours. Right now, I favor the Schick Hydro 5. It gives me the same level of comfort as the Gillette Proglide. Interestingly, Schick has introduced a new Designer Razor (as it is called in the UK). It seems to be a souped up Quattro. I hope it is released in the U.S. All the best.

Hey Karl! Hope you and your family are doing well also. Interesting, I’m not a huge fan of the Hydro 5 which I think is weird because the Quattro is one of my favorites. I think it’s the mechanism of the Hydro 🤷🏾‍♂️. I think I still have a few hydro blades, I need to test it out again🤔. Big thanks for your comment and for checking out the video!

If I end up having an issue affording it at 5 dollars a razor I’ll probably switch to something cheaper, but my situation is a little different than most people. Me and my spouse both work from home. We share one car which is a hybrid, and we don’t send the kids to daycare. We downsized from a rent house to an apartment that was much cheaper. Affording nicer bath/shave products is a lot easier for us. I hope I get the heated razor eventually. Also I noticed the prices are always fluctuating so it’s better to buy the razors in bulk at the cheapest price possible. I don’t care about the exfoliating bar I just feel like they had to put something in that little space. My second choice would probably be Harry’s or schick. Not a fan of dollar shave club at all. I grew up in the crappy razors like BIC and DSC and I’m done with those. I feel like I get more micro cuts from cheaper razors and it’s especially apparent when I put on my aftershave which razor cuts my face more 😂 love your videos man! We wanna see you shave that beard one day for fun ❤

Man thank you so much for checking out the videos and taking time to comment! I’ve thought about shaving the beard so many times for a razor review but I’ve had the beard since my oldest daughter was born (she’s 9) so it’d be weird 🤣. I’m going to shave it down to a goatee someday just to quiet the haters. I agree with everything you said, I notice a difference with better razors for sure. But since the cheaper razors work it’s tough to justify $6’buck per.

@@fitnessnbeer9835 for sure man! You’re doing a great job! And also that’s a very sentimental beard you have there and I completely understand with kids myself. That beard must be where you get all your strength 😆 no hate here at all! You probably do shave more surface area definitely. A goatee might be a fun summer look! And in understand. I hope Gillette eventually lowers the price. Either way I’ve been looking at the most comfortable DE razor to see about saving a ton of money but idk I’m not the most dexterous person ever so we shall see. Schick isn’t a bad value but I don’t know if I’d even like it compared to Gillette. Anyways thanks again for the informative videos!

Look at the K cups in coffee. Crazy more expensive over a bag of coffee just for that convenience. You can get a good shave for much cheaper but you can get a quicker more convenient for more. It's all luxury we got spoiled too. Honestly tho i'm like you i have to not only shave my face but whole head and i think that makes a big difference in getting the more expensive shavers. If i just shaved my face i prob could be fine with a Mach 3!

Yo big thanks for checking out a couple of videos! Love the KZfaq handle. Agreed, we def pay for convenience. Sounds like we both shave a lot of surface area. I can get by with the Mach 3 but shaving with the Gillette Labs is more enjoyable and easier. I like the idea of having a couple of shaving handles so I can take advantage of what’s on sale.

I haven’t tried this razor. I’m using Gillette skinguard right now. Extremely comfortable & blades can be bought on Amazon cheaper under the name king c Gillette neck refills

Huge thanks for checking out the video and commenting! Also thanks for the tip on Skinguard blades. I think the Skinguard is going to be milder than the Gillette Labs. I like the Gillette Labs a lot but I’m not sure how it would compare to the Skinguard?🤔 They’re so different.

in the 1970s Gillette had a heated foam dispensing device. its all marketing gimmicks. they have not improved razors at all. mach3 used to a good smooth razor in the 90s many people don't even know they changed the designed in 2016 made the blades thinner to save costs..made it worse rougher shaver

@@Mike_Goldberg never said it was but there is more of a learning curve. So it’s only really better once you learn techniques. If you don’t do that it’s worse. And obviously some people don’t have the dexterity to be able to do that. So it’s not better for them, which means it’s subjective. You also have to realize that some people might not have money for a good DE razor right off the bat. And some people have cartridges to go through before they can even attempt to DE shave. Not everyone’s budget is open to buy a nice handle. No way I’m getting a 20 dollar handle just to waste my time so personally I have to save up with my tight budget and I have a feeling I also may not like it especially in the beginning.
