Күн бұрынMy last metal detecting trip down to the local former nude beach was a huge success in my books. I found a gold ring, a bunch of coins (some of them silver) and a rare religious pendant. But, I get the feeling I've left some tantalizing targets behind, so I'm heading back to the same spot for another look. Check out what I found this time around!

I did, and for once I came back with more good stuff than junk which is always nice.

Square copper nails were used on the hull of old clinker boats along with small copper sheats to help the antifouling, possibly what you found

That's really good to know! I know of a few spots locally where shards of the copper sheets are everywhere.

Yer back in the day the old timers would beach their boats on an eb-tide and clean the hulls and wait for the flood-tide to get them back off , they were Moore like a 2 piece rivit

The Equinox gives a double beep for shallow targets like the manticore does.

It does, very similar. You'll find that's true of most detectors with a Double-D coil.

My old X Terra didn't give a double beep despite the double D coil. I think the age (10 years old) may have been the decider.

That's quite possible. The recovery speed was probably a lot slower meaning the double tones merge into one.

Given that nudists wore no clothes on the beach, I wonder where they carried the coins.
