Can i recommend that in addition to your install and review videos you start a new type of video regarding maintenance. So we can see how each different type of hair can be maintained.

So true on this review. I had this hair in 5 weeks. I had to cut & detangle daily! I mean daily. I’m a licensed professional & would never install this hair on a client not familiar with full crochet maintenance. This isn’t beginner friendly. After 2 weeks it’s like dry matted Barbie hair. It took a ton of very expensive salon products to keep this hair looking good.

Toyokalon hair tangles even more than Kanekalon hair. Futura hair, one of the most used Kanekalon varieties for synthetic wigs and crochet hairs, also tangles, splits and mattes very easily. Kanekalon Xpression hair tangles the least and will be the lowest maintenance hair. Luckily it is more available in pre-made crochet style hair nowadays, but you can of course get Xpression braiding hair and use that for crochet as well. I am a huge fan of Xpression hair for almost every application as a human hair replacement because of its durability, versatility, extensive color options, and affordability. Just make sure to style it with low heat (270 degrees F), steam, or boiled water.

hi Lia, I just want to thank you for these videos because now I don’t have to be apart of the braided vacationary ladies. I tried the crochet hair and used the hawaiian silky 4in1 and water every other day and it works. I have had to untangle at times and clip some ends because I don’t like bonnets. I like low maintenance, but the hair lasted for four weeks and that’s good for me. I did use peppermint oil in my parts every few days. thank you for your videos. I haven’t had the chance to under water in jamaica yet but I will in two months. I am getting in the pool this weekend at my friends house and will update you on how it goes. I’m using the GoGo curl by amazon.

Why did this just pop up on my feed 8 days later. Smh That hair was A LOT of work!! But its good to see how you do maintenance. I spray my scalp with water and a leave in for anti itch to help my scalp

Someone who put in a weed for me many many years ago shout me how to maintain my hair when it was in a crochet or weave style. I mix half of my regular shampoo 1/2 water in a hair coloring nozzle tip bottle. I get in between the tracks of the crochet hair or we and I shampoo my hair. You are right the residue from that shampoo will run down on the crochet or weave here and it'll get cleaned that way.
