I've used this kit and am ordering another .. It really cleans up a wiring harness and makes it look professional ... I wired my 1975 Ironhead with it, plus cleaned up a few repairs on my '95 Fatboy and my friend's bike .. That's why I'm ordering another kit just to have on hand for nice clean work

I've just discovered your channel and am really digging your advice and help. Do you guys ship to the UK or can you point me to a UK or European supplier for these loom products? I've found the motogadget suppliers and am keen to re-wire my bike. I have a Honda CB750 seven fifty RC42. Previous owners have screwed the wiring around and I want to totally re-wire it and use several of the motogadget components. Keep the vids coming!

Awsome videos!! all your works are great and very interesting!. You have anew fan and follower!! Just an question. You will have the oportunity to made some vids for the Honda VT700/800 models? they are specially the VT800 rare and vintage models with no much info and treatment about wiring with M-Unit and renew the electrical and modern components that fit them. So it would be nice see that, Greetings from Spain!! (and yes, i have a Shadow VT800 from 1988 here in Spain, crazy history about how the bike camed from USA. cause was just made for US and just one year)

Im interested in ordering the entire kit on Revival website. You mentioned using tubing for the clean factory look around switches and exposed wires. When do you use split mesh loom? Are they ever used both at same time?

These guys / company is great. I went with the gold domino throttle and cable kit. Love it on my bike. Talked on the phone with him or them and black was out of stock at the moment. Decided to go with the gold. Black is an easy choice but I like to be different. Gold it is and it rocks.

I will install in my bike I just pull all wires because .... You guys have any ideas why I'm burning the coils on my bike soon as a get to high rpm the coil burn I'm on my 3 one hope you guys can help always watching the channel!!

This is a difficult issue to diagnose without knowing a lot more about the bike in question. If you are replacing coils, they will need to match the same specifications as the originals, and if you have some type of CDI or TCI system you will need to check that the "black box" is functioning correctly. the m-Unit will not necessarily fix an issue with an ignition system. BUT replacing all the wires could solve some type of short circuit, or improper connection. The ignition system will need to be working normally before an m-Unit installation is possible.

As someone who has done electrical work in a fifth wheel trail factory, I agree that corrugated plastic loom only belongs on trailers. It's so awful.

What's the best way to cap off a section of braided sleeve? Heat shrink? Also are there any gromet type caps that the braids can be installed into so when they enter a electrics tray it's nice and tidy?
@taitjones6310
@taitjones6310 6 жыл бұрын
yes. Part of my loom is parachute chord with the inner core removed. So it's braided fabric. I used heat shrink on the wires, then pulled the fabric sleeve over and did two layers of heat shrink staggered on top to secure it in place. Seems very secure and it looks Really Good!

Most of the time, I'll just use a bit of the cloth tape to wrap the transitions with split loom. Its way easier to remove and redo if you ever need to get into it. But with the vinyl tube, I will use heat shrink to cover and seal the transitions. With the tubing there is no way to take it apart so the heat shrink is the way to go.

Interesting idea. Never thought to use para cord, but I'm sure that works and looks good. Any guess on the temp ratings on that stuff?
