Hello to all my subscribers and new viewers. It's been more than two years since I've posted anything, but it's great to be back. This video will detail a "major" oil change using the BG Resto kit to address potential sludge, varnish, and carbon deposit buildup in the crankcase. The very comon ticking noise is the timing chains replace them quick or you will destroy the engine. Pop the belt off and check the bearings on idler and tensioner they are also comon if you put a very long screw driver against the timing cover and very front of valve covers put your ear on other end of screw driver and it will tell you where noise is

Hello and thank you for viewing and the comment. I did have a thought about potential timing chain/rails much later that evening while eating dinner. The car doesn't belong to me, so I can't readily troubleshoot at-will. However, I do believe the owner will want to replace the Valve Cover Gaskets and I'll have a better opportunity to visually inspect to see if the chain is slapping against either cover and I can get a scope camera in there to see if those upper head rails are in intact. However, I'm still thinking that the "noise" is more akin to Piston Rod/Bearing. It is more audible and pronounced when underneath. We shall see though... :-) :-)

Wrong about the chain. First of all there’s only ONE chain, and failure is unheard of on this engine. They can and do make a lot of chatter, but that’s about it

@@the8419 ok i never even asked what engine was in it i do know a ton of them have problems it was a place to check not a diagnosis
