The latest and greatest in Microfiber Detergent is here! The Rag Company teamed up with P&S Chemicals to bring you Rags to Riches! R2R is the first Microfiber detergent to RESTRORE the absorbency of clogged towels.
With the advent of spray sealants, drying aids, and ceramic products, our towels have seen better days. The towels become "sealed" and no longer have the absorbent properties that towels should have. It's one thing to CLEAN a towel, but how can you revert a sealant? The trick was to create a detergent that has a lower surface tension than sealed towel itself. Thanks to the team at P&S, this became a reality.
In this video Anthony shows you how to property use R2R in a normal procedure as well as the pre-soak method. This should be helpful information on how to wash your microfiber towels to keep them going for years to come!

After using R2R earlier this week and "necromancing" a bunch of towels, I went a little further. Took some workout clothes that, even after washing, retained a bit of that workout "funk". Presoaked in R2R for 24 hrs, washed them with R2R afterwards just as if it was a towel load and YES! Problem fixed! R2R off-label use Ftw!

Odds are no one will see this, but I think this could be valuable to share. I think a pre soak is invaluable, just did it for the first time and it cleaned up my towels much better.

R2R works. I ordered some R2R and when it arrived I washed all the micro fibers I have. B A M!!! They all came out like new. This is really amazing stuff. Thank you

@The Rag Company so I finally got it from the local stockist Prestige Car Care and WOW! One single wash at 40C as instructed after a 12-hour soak was enough to fully restore the absorbency of over 15 towels that were all hydrophobic, some that have been extremely water repellent for years! I always used the Chemicals Guys detergent and vinegar but nothing would be able to kill Sonax BSD which is the main sealant I use on everything. R2R is a game changer. It cleaned the towels really well too and I'm happy the price in the UK is super competitive. Thanks for helping the environment with this new product!

Alright @theragcompmay, Rags to Riches is freaking amazing! I have a dedicated washing machine for all the detailing towels and pads. However, I have to dry them in the household dryer. In all the videos all over the internet it is mentioned to never use dryer sheets but none of them discus dryer sheet residue inside the dryer. Should I be concerned from cross contamination onto the towels? I've gone to great measures to reduce the possibility by placing ALL towels inside mesh laundry bags preceded by a wipe down with damp water and free and clear onto a microfiber towel and fully wiping down all surfaces.

There isn't a compelling reason to ever use dryer sheets for any type of laundry. Try wool balls for your normal, non microfiber, laundry.

Thank you guys for explaining in detail now I can hand wash my low performance drying towels because they are clogged up with drying agents I always use drying agents for extra lubricity to avoid micro scratches bringing dead towels back from the dead 😂

With these new formula do you still need to separate your MF towels like for waxes, sealants, for rinseless wash when washing or its safe to wash them all together doing a pre soak first?

Why do some companies recommend to tumble dryer rather than hanging out on your cloths rack or cloths line? Can all microfiber be natural air dried on a rack? Thanks in advance

Just bought this, and immediately placed 4oz of R2R with 3 gallon of water and hydrophobic towels in a bucket. If this is good as many is saying, then I would use this a DEEP CLEAN MAINTENANCE for my towels - twice a year until, I run out of my Chemical Guys, Malco and MicroRestore detergents.

I like using some distilled vinegar during the final rinse to rinse out and neutralize detergent. Are you saying using vinegar with R2R is harmful or is it just not necessary?

Yep same here .. previous I believe the DWV was uses to help clean the towels and soften them up some. It may not be necessary for that but for neutralizing the soap ... I believe it helps. Especially with R2R’s that suds up a lot compared to other detergents.

@@Jeeper1378 I agree I like having the towels completely residue free. Have you had the chance to test R2R with vinegar? If so how much of both are you adding to the wash? I just ordered a bottle of R2R so will be experimenting soon

@@epap1375 i use a portable washer. In between the wash, refill tub/rinse i will fill a bucket with about a gallon water and 1/2 oz of DWV. Let soak for a bit, remove and Rinse out. final rinse in the washer. I do notice less soap residue when i use DWV. Or the water in the washer is perfectly clear.

The nylon (the 20 in an 80/20 blend) breaks down under high heat. Once the nylon is damaged, the fabric no longer has any absorbancy.

I've found that Trisodium phosphate or TSP added to Gain/Tide cleans like no other since it use was banned for use in detergents....

i really like Rag to Riches, but its starting to get expensive just to clean your microfibers.... some in the pre soak bucket, some in the washing machine.. i mean its just to much for me at the price point your selling it. it does great but its just not worth all that cash. i switched to Tide Free & Gentle Pods (112 Pods for 30$cad) and i use 50-100ml of distilled vinegar (4L for 4.49$cad) during the rinsing stage. Comes out just as good as Rag the Riches but sames me tons of cash.

@@theragcompany thanks for the reply. I'm aware of the arrangement between TRC and P&s and regulations around export of chemicals but I appreciate your explanation. However I asked the same question in a recent Thursday live show and Levi said that it would be coming soon to Clean and Shiny before the end of the month...🤔
