Reviving a FORGOTTEN BIG BLOCK Race Go Kart!

We love racing go karts at CarsandCameras, especially racing karts that have been retired for the track, and are now yard karts. They're low to the ground, handle great, and can take a decent amount of power. We're working on Charles' big block Briggs and Stratton powered yard racing go kart in today's video! It needs TLC, it's not running right, the exhaust is restrictive, and more. Then, we have a John vs. Charles racing showdown around our Dust Bowl 500 racing oval.

I'm so impressed with how Charles handles himself in the shop...he is very open to accepting criticism and always asks for advice when doing something he's not 100% comfortable doing for the first time on his own...I wish I could find a guy like him in my bathroom remodeling company...its SO dam hard to find a Charles

Just want to take a sec to wish the c and c family a happy kart anniversary. Tomorrow 8/19 marks the 7th anniversary of the 9 reasons to buy a yard kart episode. The one that pretty much started it all. Big shout out to John and Ike. And now congrats to Charles and Peyton also. But we can't forget a few others like early guests Burt and Tobias. John's girlfriend in those early episodes. Also big shout out to Taylor. But most of all ....Jeb Bush.lol Thanks for the years of entertainment and here is hoping for many more.

I agree with Eggplant, I love John and Issac, but Charles adds a new flavor to the team. His enthusiasm and general disregard for personal safety makes him fun to watch. He also has pretty good camera presence.

i know i dont know you, but only know you for what i see on camera. But i think everyone these days always needs positive thoughts and some encouragement. But john dude super proud of you for how far you have came with this channel. Old days of the goofy ass dorky john n ike building outa your dads garage ripping up your dads lawn to having your own go kart paradise and having two shops and a great group a friends to help you along the way. Please dont get complacent and dont take them for granted or what you have. Seriously great job for sticking to the channel and pumping out content for us and you guys to enjoy! Thanks man!

I'm 54... learned how to weld in Ag.... my ag shop instructor taught us to say "Cover " when welding..... glad to see you guys using that precaution.....

That trick kart frame has seen some better days. We raced them for years. Super tough. Still got spindles and parts for them in the race trailer.

Yeah, they are keeping it kinda secret and I would enjoy the entire concept to the final touches. Are they thinking about a small compressor room for noise or a couple attic fans or lifts for bikes and so on. I personally love planning a project out so you don't regret it later.

Turn the old shop into your painting booth! That way you won't get painting in the new shop when coating your projects 👍. Keep up the good work boys! I'm always eager to Monday's and Wednesdays to arrive. Makes my evenings!

You can almost never reuse them gaskets in those carbs, they always rip, or at least leak when reassembling them. Love the vid!

2 things on this mini track, would love to see a small pit garage, when carb needs fixing you could pull it into the on track pit garage, with viewing box up top. Also, would love to see ya guys build a couple slow carts for bumper racing around the track. Great Vids guys. Charles is a good addition.
