I think the laws in the ottomans empire should be updated. The ottomans did not discriminate other religions and cultures (mostly), which in vic3 it does. The ottomans did not have land bound peasants, but more of a system like tenant farmers. It did also have a proffesional army.

After 1.7 patch its impossible to play with Ottomans but before thatI used to finish 4 tanzimats around 1850s. 1- Start civil war and crush land owners, then you will get bureaucracy reforms fast. 2- Be in top level countries(dont know what you call it), like 7th,then you will get around 100 manevour, this will get you all the provinces you need for first egypt tanzimat. ( try to be friends with russians from day 1) 3- If you want to wait until "no rebellion " bar to fill,u can wait and get 4th, if not try to get other egypt cities as you did in number 2 4- Leave army modernisation until last moment, because its expensive, when you have other 3, upgrade your army. Ive never achived urbanisation and education thing.

Tech rushing really seems to be the way to get stuff done in 1.7. But that just make me want to see you do some kind of luddite Papal States or agrarian Russia or something like that.

Though i never played Vicky 3, i sometimes watch a let'splay or a guide. It looks interesting, like EU4, but with a focus on internal stability and development rather than map painting.

6:15 ludi if have all dlc's then you could just exike the land owner guy cause he is always moderate which means he will choose an idealogy against your goverment and with power of dlc you could give him his old job as the leader of land owner which makes land owners ban both serfdom and slavery. It use to always work but with 1.7.3 update he becomes traditionalist sometimes (mostly) but with some trick of reforming the goverment and starting some legasilations you could make it work like old times. Even if you dont have dlc there is nothing wrong about havind anti slavery agiator.

Ludi, you played tons of test runs and runs in general in 1.7, do you get random income drop? I tried playing as manny Asian countries, Ottobros in parcitulcar and even if I don't build a single construction centre and playing generally very careful and don't spend money on anything crazy I still getting drop in my income to the point of bancrupcy , no expensive institutions that would take much of my bueracracy ,no expensive army setups, it just drops and I don't understand what the schnaps is going on/??

Reloading doesn't help, unless you restart the entire run. Vic 3 has a random seed for each save file I believe.

Way easier to grab Persia early, then go for the reclaim Syria and reclaim Egypt tanzimats. Pickup army modernization along the way and then you have your choice of the 4th - usually suppression is easiest since it requires you to do nothing. The education tanzimat is honestly kind of a noob trap.
