Had my Golf R 7.5 for a year now, couldn’t beat it, but REVO S1 looking good 👀 and affordable for most people Edit: She’s now booked in! End of this month 🤘🏻😂 Edit2: No regrets from me!

I stage 1 revo remap all my audis. The difference is night and day. Turns them into a right weapon. Currently driving a Q7 Vorsprung on an 18plate Absolute machine.

Revo has a great reputation. I love my MK7 2017 Golf R DSG. I currently am running Stage 3 with FBO, Cobb custom EQT map and EQT DSG software. The turbo is a hybrid DBV2 V1 turbo. I ran 10.9@126mph with a 1.689 60ft time on 19" Indy 500 street tires. I drive the car everyday in snow, rain and sun. Take the family out. It's the best 👌 all around Daily vehicle period.

@adr3510 they are one of the top tuners for this platform. I have had nothing but great things to say about there ECU / DSG tune. It produces great smooth power.

You will be very happy with EQT. I've had my car custom 94 octane tuned with MPI from them for 3+ years no issues. The car made 470whp on 94 octane pump. Let me know how it goes....

@@colinmcdonell5034 normal pump gas here in England is 93, the premium fuels being 95 Ron & 97/98 ron. I’m more sure that I’ll go base map over custom tbh, here in England there’s many country roads and almost like rally car races except it’s tarmac. Eqt stage 2 is really all I’ll need I think.

Very good video, thanks for that! Why do you think it feels "more composed and better put together" and the steering feels more precise with the engine/DSG remap? Do you think that's purely psychological? I'm struggling to think of a good reason that would be the case. Possibly because of the way the power is delivered? That seems like a bit of a stretch... I don't know.

They definitely are a completely definitely animal once you tune em I have a 7.5 R I'm intagrated engineering stg2 tunned frm what they claim I'm pushing close to around 450hp my 0 to 60 time is around 3.6 seconds definitely a rocket

I’m a little late to the party but Golf R 7.5 do not have as standard Dynamic Chassis Control and the car in the video does not have DCC. When she hits Mode the infotainment says Driving Mode Selection. If it had DCC it would say Dynamic Chassis Control - cos that’s what mine says and I know it has DCC.

The US and A sells the MK8 Golf R manual, but Europe doesn’t get it. I wonder why Volkswagen isn’t gonna sell the MK8 Golf R manual in Europe where we prefer manuals more.

Idunno were youre from? But looking at most youtube channels you will hear americans whine constantly if a car isnt a manual. Here in Europe iv personally heard its the opposite. Whichs real funny because there are tons of benefits of going with an automatic/dsg transmission. Esp for engine and even more especially if engine is tuned. On top of that its also possible to tune the dsg, so that it gets closer to as fast shifts as you get in Porsche PDK. Also off course you get dsg farts, which more sounds like explosions on upshifts, especially when you have an aftermarket exhaust like your Definetly supposed to have on a Golf R and GTI! 👍

@@tredfxman I’m in the UK. And I did find it suspicious that the 6MT Golf R isn’t for sale here in Europe, but someone said that when the 6MT and 7DCT Golf T’s were sold here, most of the sales were the 7DCT.

4.73 tuned 0-60?? I've gotten 4.6s on my stock mk7.5 using a dragy. Something doesn't add up in this video.

It's more like 4.5 seconds for the 7 speed dq381....... 4.9 is for the DQ250.

@@DrivingBex if you look at other creators that do the same thing as you... they have time stamps in the description that would allow us to let say got to a certain part of the video. Perhaps you can sort it as: *time stamp* 0-60 acceleration.

Totally disagree about the demographics of the golf r driver, I have an s3 and in my area (northern ireland) Golf r's are driven by more younger people, the s3 on the other hand is more upmarket and desirable and owned by more mature owners.
