Kydex when it reaches 400 degrees Fahrenheit starts to release Hydrochloric gas which is highly toxic

Just skip the music. Even done well it adds nothing. In this case, it made your video very tough to hear and unpleasant to watch. Great idea, however.

Apparently he didn't find kydex rule #1 , don't put kydex in the same oven you cook food in. Maybe missing some cells already

Ya know what ? Between your low volume and mumbling whilst slaying your language in the intro; and the annoyingly loud music while explaining your miraculous procedure I got so confused , I thought this was a diy video for a kydex press but I realized this was a music video playlist and switched to you tube music and completely decided to buy any holster I might need ! Tanks mate !

I thought this is how everyone does it at first.... this is beginner level lol, the way I do it used a actual press machine and a oven with precision temps and the press also has a cooling feature. And before pressing there are actual impression molds for the kydex to pre shape it.... I was hoping I would learn something :( however what you showed will indeed help a beginner lol.

Bub... chill out ehh? You couldn't sound more goofy.. First of all, with acrylic-polyvinyl chloride materials, you do NOT want to assist in cooling them, the slower the better, otherwise you have a 100% chance of your shape deforming upon MINOR temperature changes because this material has "memory". You must understand how the molecules form upon cooling. Rapid cooling will cause stress points & your product will break easily. The ONLY reason some use a cooling assist is when they are manufacturing in mass. You also do not want to use old foam boards or boards with old impressions in them already. While cooling, the plastic will move & contract, if there are already impressions in it, it will negatively effect the end result. Using pre shaped molds is only done in mass manufacturing with common firearms, never knives unless the company themselves are making it, because it'll be common, and cheaply made. 9/10 "Kydex" holster customers are wanting a custom mold, which for obvious reasons cant be done with a generic pre shaped mold. You seem like a "know it all" that doesn't know much. Like you gained your knowledge from a pamphlet.. Take the L and walk it off...

American here, when you started saying what tempetature i was relieved it was in Celsius. I didnt want to have to convert it. My car uses Celsius, most everything i have is set to that scale except for 1 weather app. X°C > X°F in all regards but 1.

This is a better way to put a nice curve in you knife, if you didn't want it too straight. Those pesky straight blades will curve nicely if you weigh over 150+ lbs. 😂

Well ,on a sad note( I'm being polite)...we won't get many more of these videos if you're heating kydex in your kitchen oven and using the same oven to cook food....come on dude ...not smart at all ..look up the list of toxic chemicals that hot kydex leaches into the air and how many of them accumulate and build a solid residual coating over your kydex oven ...in your caee ...your kitchen oven???I hope not...you'll especially like the information on how some of the chemicals are also some of the most important ingredients in many chemical weapons...kydex is a PVC and you DO NOT want to breathe its fumes and for god sake you don't want to eat food with it baked into it
