Great Video!!! Awesome body work, chassis and advice on doing this kind of auto work. You can't beat restoring a 60s muscle car, they are the best cars around ever. Keep up the great work. I have a suggestion for a project car. Build a "BASE" 70-72 Buick GS 455 to give younger viewers how many muscle car purchasers back in the late 60s & early 70s ordered their cars when new. Specifications: 70-72 Buick GS 455 (would also be more of an "economy" or "low budget" when new. Stock 455 engine or stage 1, HD shock absorbers, HD coil springs, HD front and rear sway bars, HD manual steering, manual brakes with front aluminum finned brake drums, GM HD 3-speed manual transmission, HD clutch, HD radiator, positraction (limited slip) differential with 3:08, 3:23 or 3:42 gear, bench seat, sport gauge instrument panel or not, maybe hood mounted tachometer, standard steering wheel, tires equivalent to G or H60-15s, steel wheels, Buick dog dish hubcaps. I may have left out a few mechanicals. Also, add in "Day 2" modifications: headers, 3" to 3 & 1/2" exhaust system with HiFlow mufflers, possibly replace HD radiator with aluminum radiator with electric fans. This will eliminate additional HP drain on the engine by only having the alternator running off the engine. Non-60s or 70s addition: Custom Auto Sounds AM-FM, Bluetooth factory appearing radio, NO power windows, NO power locks, NO A/C, NO power antenna, NO power bench seat. I think this would make a great project car for your team and I hope you decide to build it. Thank you for all the great videos, I really enjoy watching them.

I would do a 455.

I really like the way you save those panels the powder coating it is a first I always thought it would be a good ideal to powder coat the floors headliner and whole interior with trunk after a sandblast or a dip stripping process use guys are getting better and better you guys are impressing me you're going on a whole different level can't wait to see when it is done and all the processes that it will take.

My brother bought a new 68 W-30, and I had a 70 W-30. The 455 was a beast.

Cool frame. It would've been nice to have provisions for the factory drivetrain though.

That LS V8 Should've been a 455 cubic inch LS not a 454 Cubic inch LS, 454 LSX V8 are for Chevys while the 455 LSX V8s are for Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick.

Could you imagine if a guy on KZfaq only put out 16 minutes a week on a build? These shows were great back in the day, but I'm such a huge fan on the realism in mordern day KZfaq builds. They seem much more authentic.

Unfortunately this video is about fifteen years old. I think the build has been scrapped since then. They made about three episodes of this car and then it hasn't been touched in close to ten plus years. They are just replaying the old episode. I watched every episode every weekend until this mishap and haven't watched since. Sad they just haven't done anything since and I'm a diehard Olds fan as well. Too bad.

I've got a 72 Supreme that I'd love to get the same work done on, that body came out looking amazing after blasting and powder coating. Could the car be left at that stage for a while or would it immediately need to get painted to prevent damage?
