Part 1: • Former NBA Player Rex ...
--------
Retired basketball player Rex Chapman discussed his struggle with gambling addiction. He revealed after acquiring a $10 million extension contract with the Hornets in 1991, his habit escalated. This led to him recklessly spending his wealth not only on the likes of cars and vacations but mainly on an exponential increase in his gambling, going from betting $500 to $1,500 per race. This need for an escape stemmed from unresolved childhood issues: growing up in a family where betting was normalized, residing in the fast-paced, high-risk world of professional sports, and not feeling he truly earned his salary because of his talent. With the advent of off-track betting, Chapman's addiction heightened due to the capacity to bet on 90 races per day, in contrast to traditional 9-10 races at tracks. He estimated his total losses from gambling over his lifetime to be approximately $12 million.

play with stocks and challenhe yourselt to make a profot every week. if you have a bad habit, please seek out your local gamblers anonymous group - mitigate this asap because every major event, emotion and challenge will present an excuse to gamble. we cannot be duped by a sliver of "benefit" from alcohol/gambling compared to the major and life-changing cons.

There’s a reason why Casinos/Malls/Department Stores don’t have exterior windows (specifically casinos) it’s to make people loose track of time and also lose track of how much they’re spending. It’s also why most casinos, the lighting (int terms of brightness) is very warm, it’s to make people relax. It’s rarely about the money, it’s being able to get people to forget about actual time.
