Never really answered the question.....And why the hell does Saudi Arabia or any other country need to have the same values as we do??? Who the hell gave the USA the right to dictate what values other countries should have??? Though I know the answer....the US government only goes in or gets involve with other countries, when those countries have something that will benefit our country.... Then we want to be seen as the saviors!!! This government needs to stop interfering in other countries affairs and start to take care of our own!!!

Javier E. Rosa Because of the Geneva convention which Saudi Arabia has joined into when joining the United Nations. And I don't think saving the world in world war 2 and then rebuilding our enemies countries would qualify as something that we did just to benefit ourselves.

Javier E. Rosa Our geopolitical alliances are key to global peace, evident by the fact that the post world war 2 era has been the most peaceful era in modern U.S. history.

Kyle Ruth like I said before...the US sees themselves as the world's saviors, and there are always particular government interests to get involved with other countries....This country doesn't need to tell other how, when and where to handle their internal affairs or waste trillions of dollars helping out when we have a lot to fix here!!! And I'm not saying don't help, but trillions??? When pur school systems sucks, pur roads and highways needs repairs, we have a lot of homeless people, the lost goes on!!

We do not have the same values as America, and we are different in the values completely, the driving cars by women is not big issues, killing people by America in the world is the important issue in same time stealing other countries resources is very important issue.

Who gave Rubio the right to ask about cultures in Saudi and changing the cultures and beliefs of people living in other countries ??!

I agree with him. However, next to no country in the world shares America's values. The sad truth is that partnerships are bound together by shared interest, not shared values.

I am a progressive Saudi guy,,, I am a STRONG advocate of women's rights of education and work outside household and today 60% of college graduate in Saudi are females :) and our literacy rate (was below 10% in 70's) is now above 95% ,, last year, women for first time has the right to vote in Municipal elections, and we have many lady members in the Shura Counsel (Saudi parliament). That being said, i do not want our religion, heritage and old thousands-year long culture to be a cat copy of any other countries - be it the American, Chinese, English, Indian etc. I personally adore many aspects of American culture (i.e. i love the American freedom of speech, individualism, capitalism, democracy, hard-work, food, language, music) but i do not accept that to completely replace our beautiful ancient culture but I would rather like to see my people to take the good things from others' cultures, infuse in our, and build on it and reject or at least refrain from adopting bad aspects of other cultures (no offend) and nothing wrong with that,, i mean our differences are what makes beauty and diversity of our world,,, ask travelers. Hope my point is clear. There is no 100% good or 100% bad culture,, i just hope every one of us (men and women) can have the amount of respect and opportunity to live our life to the best we can and prosper and contribute to welfare of others around us. Peace from Saudi Arabia

Arabian_Stalion yes, we need more people like you, Saudi Arabia needs to preserve their culture, but at the same time adapt to the 21st century 2017, and not one country must force their culture onto another country

What values does us have ?
2 жыл бұрын
We industrialized most of the planet, produced the best innovations, medical advancements, scientific advancements, religious freedom, arts, music, literature, concepts of liberty and freedom never before available to any citizens, we also have and value having a society built with people from all countries. Books have been written about American values for centuries. You should take a break from the internet and concentrate on learning something before you get old and pass away.
