when making any evaluation of how midrange-control decks will play out try to remember that after turn 6 Emperor it suddenly is a whole different story.

Dragonkin Sorcerer is stupidly good in paladin decks. Blessing of Wisdom + Divine Shield and also Kings and Might are ridiculous. Love it.

I think the old Miracle Rogue can be viable again with Emperor Thaurissan. There are a lot of games as Miracle Rogue where you usually end up sitting on a Leeroy or Auctioneer in your hand so if you play this; those triple Shadowstep Leeroys that everybody absolutely loved are now back and Auctioneer is now fast enough to draw out your entire deck again if it gets hit by this card.

Paladin turn 5 Dragon Consort, Turn 6 Chromaggus. Seems pretty legit to me! I know Reynad covered this when he talked about how great Dragon Consort was going to be but still, seems really powerful as a turn 5/turn 6 set up.

The reason why the Blackwing Corruptor and Technician are so good, is because they are necessary to carry a control deck filled with dragons through early / mid game. In other words, if your deck is full of dragons, you'll need extremely powerful cards like these just to survive long enough to play your expensive minions. That said, the dragons themselves aren't that impressive. They are good because they enable Blackwing Corruptor and Technician, but they themselves aren't really gamebreaking. I get the feeling that Volcanic drake is going to sit in your hand for quite a while, and Hungry dragon is also a situational play - you don't want to give additional minions to aggro decks or decks like oil rogue and combo druid, especially if you don't have minions of your own on board already (which you probably won't). As far as legendary dragons go, they are all trumped by or, at best, equal to Ysera, and Ysera hasn't been played for a while (tho that will probably change with BRM). In the end, similar to Goblin Blastmage, Dragon Consort is probably going to be the card that pushes dragon decks into competitive territory for paladins, but I doubt other classes will be so fortunate.

I wish dark iron skulker was neutral. We need some neutral anti-aggro tech.

People are complaining about the Gang-up which can be awesome even in some controlish archetype. With this new dwarf rogue can remove some removals such as backstab and maybe one flurry and go more controlish. So u put one gang up and u have sylvanas. I dont say that it will be the best, but sure offers diversity and its pretty funny and it can be viable even in tournaments.

Blizzard should add: "Draw a Card" to Gang Up, then it would be actually playable.

Why is gang up bad? Is it the failure for immediate? You can get so much value if you gang up a good minion

I'd rather think of Chromaggus like Ysera. Has to live to be efficient, has decent stats, a fill your hand with stuff. Chromaggus can be played earlier, and gets better synergy if you have spells that make you draw cards, or the 1/3 that make you draw whenever he gets hit... Ysera is on her own, whereas Chromaggus can have synergy. And it's insane if you draw your removal, charge minions or Word of : Shield.

hey reynaldo thanks for making this, but i kind of disagree with your analysis of gang up.. it has potential in a mill deck if you gang up a coldlight you can mill them really easily since the problem with mill rogue is that if their coldlights are removed they can't win anymore

I think Mal'ganis, Implosion, and Imp Gang Boss will be a thing, he deck almost makes itself.

Shaman would be better if the summon wasn't rnadom but if it cycled throught the 4 choices (1/1 0/2 Taunt, 0/2 Heal, 0/2 Spell Damage). So you will know what you'll get and play with it. Or if you could have card that make your next totem automatically 0/2 Taunt for example... it would create so much synergy !

I think big game hunter might not even a concern for rend blackhand. This is gonna sound weird because obviously bgh kills it and your opponent just got alot of tempo. But if we imagine a world in which rend blackhand would be played in the first place it would be in a very slow control heavy meta. (which will arrive the same day hunter is removed from the game i know) But in that type of meta your deck could also see cards like alexstrasza, nefarian, maybe baron, ragnaros alongside some of the 7+ attack class legendaries like neptulon, malolrne, mal ganis (handlock ofcourse already having giants) If that's your deck and your both just going for the pure out value Then you would be happy if your opponent bgh'ed a rend just like you used to be happy if your opponent used his hex/polymorph too early way back when. Because rend would be the easiest to remove without a bgh 7+ attack card in your deck. And your holding it untill the turn after your opponent plays ysera or chromaggus or something of the sort which they just spend the entire turn playing which might mean they don't have a board after you kill it. Ofcourse this situation would require control to be so incredibly overpowered that even if you know your opponent is playing such a deck you would still rather play a control deck against it as opposed to anything else. 15 min no rush

Rend should be a 6 cost 6-4 that summons a 1-3 dragon with taunt on death. In the original ubrs he hits hard, dies easily and has a pointless drake.

I see cromaggus in paladin, a lot, like, you play consorte dragon, next turn you play this, and even if you dont get to use the effect because they used a remooval, well, they used a remooval, and now they possibly don´t have any other remooval for sylvannas or tirion or other legendary dragons
