What I love about this version of Oulton Park is how filled in the spectator areas are. Just makes you feel like you are a real BTCC driver on race day.

New Road America is quite good indeed. Need to give oulton park some time. Haven’t really raced that since the old race07 days in the tin tops. Great video. Keep up the good work.

Good video as always, I'm with you about how it's easier to drive Spa in RF2 than ACC or AC. I still think the new UI is terrible so I've gone back to the old one but thankfully the SIM has enough quality in the driving model to compensate for the horrible menus, etc. Oulton Park is my 'go to' track for anything but open wheelers & the workshop version is pretty good so lots of good driving to be had at minimal cost with RF2 now. Keep up the good work!

I recently did a 24 hour endurance race using a different version. It had extra buildings and trees pushing over onto the racing surface. But worst is that it didn't include a lot of the exit curbing that's there IRL. Very odd. My team still ended up 3rd but leading up it, it was like learning a whole new track.

Agree about the track limits on Spa. You can pretty much straight line Radillion with absolutely no penalty. Also I don't know if I'm just doing something stupid, but if you do a rolling start it forces two formation laps for some reason. Skipping the formation lap skips one of them, and you still end up with a massively spread field by the time you get to a green light.

Ermin, for the next tracks mods videos, and just in case you don't know them, another great tracks: Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio.

Oulton Park for rF2 came out before it came out for AMS1 so it's not an AMS1 convert, my guess it's an rF1 convert and so it's not LIDAR scanned nor laser scanned. Nevertheless it's a very well made circuit.

There’s a certain amount of irony in praising a game for its handling, but other elements are so bad that without modders stealing other developers’ meshes it would never have the resources to scan these tracks themselves. Perhaps if you kept your feet on rF2’s neck as forcefully as you do say Reiza’s, they might get round to fixing the stuff that keeps their sales figures so low they can’t afford to scan their own meshes?

Thanks for these Ermin, I've had a fantastic few days at Road America trying to improve. 95% AI in the FR 3.5, over 4 days finished 25th, 16th, 9th and finally a podium 2nd last night. In VR it's an incredible experience! One request, in your video's you're always in the Ferrari GTE, any chance of mixing it up with some open wheelers or something else in the next one? (One tip for the FR3.5 if you drive, increase the caster, it completely transforms the FFB)

Wonderful coverage of some excellent mods. I ran RA at the weekend and it's a blast, even with faster classes nipping at your heels all race. Oulton park too, is an experience, both IRL and in RF2 (I advise having a loot at it in the wet. That'll satiate your rally instincts!) You make a comment about the modders going unrecognized. Maybe put a card at the start of the segment listing the people that you know were involved in the making of each track? Just a thought that might give some credibility to the modders involved, and maybe give them some traction in other areas (potential job offers and the like). Wouldn't it be nice to know you were involved in furthering someone's career just a bit of accreditation.

I'm just getting into Sim Racing and thanks to your videos I'm going to go with rFactor 2 to get up to speed. I know Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Thruxton really well from real life and would like to use these to help learn. You mentioned you enjoy Brands and Oulton but have you tried Thruxton on rFactor 2?

If you like Oulton Park you'll love VIR (Virginia International Raceway). AC has a great version with all 3 main layouts. Dunno if there's an rF2 rip..

The rendering on the cars in rfactor is insane.

I didn't realise Lilski's RA was ported now. It's my favourite mod track in AC by far, really beautiful work. This is a great series of videos, thanks for the work ;)

Ermin if you love Corvette ? Try the corvette zr1 2012 mod. Set TC. To medium and abs on low . I promise you it's going to be your new favorite car. ;-)

Hey Ermin, have you tried Pukekohe Park found in the steam workshop? Its a superb track for cars like the Porsche Cup and Radicals, and a track ive never seen featured which is a shame. A hidden gem for rF2

Great additions! But honestly, how sad is for a sim to rely on another sim's laser scanned circuits? I don't see the greatness of rF2. Yes the physics are absolutely phenomenal, so is the FFB, but we literally have like 4 official tracks : Nordschleife, Le Mans, Sebring and Imola (which is made by Reiza) . Everything else is a rip-off from a sim you defined "a mix between simcade and sim". If you like rF2 above anything else is absolutely fine, but we have to be objective, it lacks terribly on content side, multiplayer and user interface.

Great vid, I hope you're right about the "iconic European track" a high quality scan of Spa would be most welcome. I'm still happy with hot lapping the Nordschleife track but I've always liked Spa.

I’m not a fan of this version of Spa tbh. There is little track detail, no kerb detail and the shaders seem slightly off, like it’s constantly overcast. Also, the ai is so slow round it even by rf2 mid track standards and they spin out for no reason. Fingers crossed the iconic European track S397 has announced is an official Spa. Just got a horrible feeling it’s going to be Monza ☹️

Just raced Road America with a field of 488's. I used Ermin's 488 setup tweaks from a few videos back. Why the entire field are so much faster than me on AI 95% is strange, even on straights with very little wing angle. AI grip modifier?

Only god is assetto corsa regarding to how it looks at least you can almost really feel like you in a real car with real conditions etc so dépending on what you want ok driving part can be better but graphics are a huge part when it s about immersion and realism !

I need say i try search info when i start sim year ago. And i dont get what this game offer how it works. How lobby is and outher. Then i hear iracing and thats it 🤷 easy game to play and good exp. I dont care the money becous its hobby and rf2 take it also. But why this is so "hidden". I might play this if i had infi about this when i start pc racing. I mean i dont know how many player this have. How often i can race. And how lobby is make 🤷 can you give some info 😅

Did you know that Kunos was hunting those download-sources down once? I was penalised with a 2-weeks-ban in 2016 for posting in their forum to better try the Nordschleife (which was the first and only one at that time) and feel the obvious improvements rather than doing this shit (I didn't use this word). And at that time rF2 was rather dead compare to today. No offense here and Marcel could've say stop to videos like this, so just saying and by chance or not, the policy changed since. Before you had to look for the proper password in the forum to unzip the downloads.
