I wanted to share with you some guidelines on how to set up the Oreca LMP2 car on rfactor 2.

J'ai désormais une voiture beaucoup plus saine à conduire, c'est super. Je regarde aussi tes autres guides et ils m'ont aidé à maintes reprises. J'espère te croiser sur une course à l'avenir, en attendant merci beaucoup !

si tu as motec, regarde l'hauteur de la caisse; le minimum toléré est 22mm; donc et vraiement à partir de 15mm tu n'as plus d'adhérence; au raidillon, l'arrière gauche arrive à 5mm avec un bon setup :D

Mike an amazing video. New on RF2 coming from another sim. On the settings higher number means more and lower number less?

In most cases, higher values mean more /stiffer; some GT3 and GTEs it is the opposite but the main thing to keep in mind in rf2 the "+" is more stiff or high and the "-" is less

@@MikeFroom I use this video as the starting point. Pace was low 1.37 and quali high 1.35 amazing.....

@@MikeFroom please create more videos like this.... i dont care about copy/cat setup because is subjective to driving style but for learning experience I can say is the first time a youtuber can really explain the wait it is... AMAZING WHAT YOU JUST DID.

Thanks for this Mike. One question - any tips on controlling braking in this car because even with maximum front bias I'm getting the rears locking up (most often when I release the brake in fact).

Hey John 👋. There are several things to do. Maybe trail brake better and make sure you complete downshifting way before releasing the brakes. You can also downshift to first gear only when the car has sattled down after hard braking zone. If the technique didn't help, you can try reduce brake pressure, or increase the coast differential, or increase the preload and TC.

@@MikeFroom thanks so much for the reply and great advice... I do suspect that trail braking is the major explanation. I have Logitech pedals so it's quite tricky, but practice can still help I'm sure.

For sebring you need to increase rear wing, ride height, soft springs and anti roll bars. Some guys may also add packers Springs don,t go below 800nm, detached rear antiroll bar is safer

Great content, will this apply well to Spa as a base for faster tracks? Any specific change for Spa?

Yes it applies to Spa too where you need to pay close attention to rear ride height in order to not spin on the raidillon

Hey man good video, can you hel me out i just got the lmp2, and the wheel rotation lock is at maximum 13deg, i sturggule to turn on hairpins, and every corner its full opposite lock,

Hi, first thing is the video is outdated now because the car physics's have been updated recently. Regarding your issue, you need to make sure that your steering wheel rotation in the wheel profile matches what is in the car setup

Hi there, is the setup approach the same for the Ligier P2 car? Because the ranges of the setup settings are very different. Cheers!

Hi, I did only set the car for Spa so I don't have the experience to recommend anything but for Spa the approach was different as the ride height doesn't seem to be problematic as it is for the Oreca.

Bonjour, merci pour cette vidéo réglage sur l'oreca 07, mais j'ai 2 questions qui me viennent en tête. Tu dis que lorsque l'on utilise le package aéro le mans il faut mettre sur 1 l'aileron arrière or je la trouve inconduisible avec le réglage a 1 pour des circuit de haute vitesse de pointe autre que le mans. De plus tu dis pour la package normal de mettre a 3 ou 4 pour éviter de surchauffer l'arrière. Alors combien mettre a l'arrière avec le package aero le mans pour un circuit autre que le mans ayant de longues pleines charges ? Tu parle également d'augmenter la précharge si il pleut, y a t'il d'autres choses a changer sur le setup pour que la voiture soit plus a l'aise sur le mouillé ?

Bonsoir, avec le packaging le mans, je n ai jamais mis aero sup à 1 même sous la pluie, sur le Nurburgring Combined, Spa sur une piste bien trempée, etc Sous la pluie, baisse le carrossage et la mixture, augmente la précharge et si nécessaire augmente l'appuie.

Tu peux aussi voir le comportement de ma voiture sur les courses ASRT que j ai diffusé en direct. J'avais aéro au minimum à 1 sans exception.

Professor question: My Oreca is going extremly balance and fast BUT I have a problem I need to take out load from the rear my tires dont hold 1 stint. All Surface around around 130

what package are you using? and what track? 130° all around is too much, you may need lower ride height or more downforce (increase rear wing)

@@MikeFroom its mainly on the rear. So lower the ride height and more wing will take load to the rear tires? 🤔 Now im confused because I though I was putting more downforce meaning more weight

@@doggystube yes more rear wing or lower rear ride height or higher front ride height will add more downforce (load) to rear. If you already have rear wing at P4 you may consider reworking your suspension especially the Antiroll bars (softer or detached at both ends may help cooling the tires)

The inner tyre temp are fine its the surface is insane hot and like you explain no time for cooling I loose grip in a few laps (really bad for a race)

salut, les skins tu peux les trouver dans le showroom qd tu selectionnes une voiture tu visualise le showroom et tu enregistre le skin; il y a aussi les skins du 24h lemans virtuel de l'année dernière; il faut choisir les voitures 24h le mans virtuel
