I love the speed car and how it’s designed, a sport sxs with a truck bed and tailgate to me is the best of both worlds and what I’ve always wanted in a sxs, a mix of sport and utility, that being said the way he carries himself makes me not ever want to buy a speed car. Wow, crazy. Reminds me of the patent trolls going after all the podcasts a few years ago. About 20 years ago after I worked at Sway-A-Way I was going to go work for Bob/Robby Gordon to make internal bypass shocks. Basically the same thing that Fox is selling now. Robby had been making those years before for his TT. Come to find out Fox shox/ John Marking had patented it and sent them a cease-and-desist. Of course, Bob /Robby claim they invented them, but wasn’t worth the fight to revoke their patent based on prior art.

Thoses are statements not threats, its only a patent infringement if your selling it. You can use patents for yourself. Best to get a patent attorney and have them review the claims if you do plan to sell. This video is far more slanderus than anythng you have shown he has said. He is actual talking to you about a possible problem. He could have waited until you sold a bunch than sued.

A couple things that jump out at me. Jason you said you never looked at any of the patents. So you designed something with no regard to if you were infringing. What would you say to someone that did the same things against one of your patents? Not saying RG is right or that he is doing this the right way. But you have to admit he at least has the right to challenge you. As do you anyone you feel is infringing on yours. Also the delivery for the XX does not prove anything, you can copy something without owning it. RG may have a weak patent but he has at least some patents that are relevant that deserve your attention. He is not slandering you any more than you would be of someone that was possibly infringing on your patent. I really think you are emotionally reacting to this because it's RG. Don't get me wrong as I have total respect for you and what you do. But I don't think you are looking at this the right way. Your reaction to this is as bad as his actions, maybe worse.
