Kshana Kshanam (transl. Every Moment) is a 1991 Indian Telugu-language road thriller and heist film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film stars Venkatesh, Sridevi, Paresh Rawal, and Rami Reddy. The plot follows Satya (Sridevi), a young woman who is hounded by a gang of robbers headed by Nayyar (Rawal) and the police. With the help of a pickpocketer Chandu (Venkatesh), she escapes into the forests.[2]
Varma introduced road movie and film noir to Indian screen with Kshana Kshanam. Varma experimented with close-to-life performances by the lead actors, which bought a rather fictional storyline a sense of authenticity at a time when the industry was being filled with unnecessary commercial fillers.[3] The film was not commercially successful,[3] but it went on to gather a cult following.[4] The film was screened at Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the Fribourg Festival.
Kshana Kshanam won five state Nandi Awards, including Best Direction, Best Screenplay, and a Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu to Sridevi. Varma later adapted Kshana Kshanam in Hindi as Daud, and produced road movies such as Thiruda Thiruda, Anaganaga Oka Roju and Road

I don't even understand why he is saying it as flop... As a teenager I saw this film on day 1 of release in Vijayawada along with my friends and we all loved it.. even the entire theater loved it based on what I remember.. even when I see that movie I still like it. It's a great movie even today. RGV made a lot of flop movies and I hated them. But, Kshana Kshanam is definitely not flop.

I watched it along with my Dad and sister when I was five or six years old. I wasn't old enough to understand the movie and come to a decision whether it was good or bad. My Dad was mighty pleased with the movie. Thanks fr the interview Mr.Anji.

I’m surprised to know that K….K… was a flop . Everyone loved that film … I don’t know of anyone who didn’t like that movie … Sridevi gave her best performance too … RGV s interviews about film making is a lesson literally. It’s so interesting… and we get to know of the fine nuances of film making… The importance of a certain camera angle , a small sound , lighting , music … is beautifully explained… Y is he wasting his talent !!! Anji is doing a good job too .. he has also observed every shot in the film and is posing very technical questions…. Great chat … 👏

Being a cult RGV fan myself during my teenage ,nowadays seeing his interviews with brainless anchors used to b very disappointed. Thank you anchor for showing light on brilliance of RGV in film making !!! For me RGV was always a pioneer in Telugu n Hindi movies with his cult classic movies . He openly says which movie of his is inspired from which Hollywood ones.

I remember watching this movie and was spellbound...i really loved it...and when I stepped out of theater everyone was screaming about what horrible the movie was, and I just thought may be I don't have sensibility on assessing a movie and kept quite. Now after so many years, I stand corrected, this movie was a masterpiece and I was right in my assessment.

I am shocked to know that 'Kshana kshanam' was a failure. I have watched at least 15 times since I came to USA in 2000. I still have the DVD. No kidding... I just ran up and told my wife that KK was a failure. Her response was 'picca verra'.
