Notes: I know the fuel consumption part of this video is confusing. I also felt the same way when doing the research. The Tatra specification and performance in this video, I picked Tatra T 815 - 7M3R41 8x8.1R HMHD Troop/Cargo Carrier based from their official website and brochure. So, I can say it is accurate and reliable. On the other hand. I can't find any official specification and performance for the RMMV HX77 8x8 for this comparison. The specification and performance that I use in this video are based on Wikipedia. I know I can't really trust Wikipedia 100%, but that's what I've got. I hope you all understand :D. And if you happen to know a reliable source for this issue, please share with us, here. I hope you can still enjoy the video. I'll try to be more accurate and reliable with my data in my future video. Thank you!

I think the figures of the HX are messed up. As I see the data, the consumption would be 300L /100 KM or so. Also a fuel capacity of 1500 Liter does not fit for such vehicles, because it would take away far to much payload. and space/ground clearance When I see the tank under the HX it is more like 500 L. About the tanktransporter MAN HX I don't know. A fully loaded tanktransporter of like 80 or 90 tonnes will have a far bigger fuel consumption then a 30 tonnes 8 x 8, so it may be that that type has a bigger tank and lower actiradius.

@@PacificFront No need to sorry. As I remember the ancestor of the M.A.N HX the KAT 1 had only 200L fuel capacity. But that was another time and they were designed for a different type of war.

Tatra is the winner because Rheinmetall goes for Tatra now. Rheinmetall and Tatra signed a memorandum on 26 November 2020 on the establishment of a joint venture for the production of tactical military vehicles. This joint venture will be based in the Czech Republic and will be called Tatra.

2017: The Danish Army purchased 15 CAESAR 8x8 howitzers with Tatra chassis. 2021: The Belgian army bought 879 vehicles with Tatra chassis. The Bundeswehr purchased 76 Rosenbauer firefighting engines with Tatra 815-7 4x4 chassis.

sounds like a good year for Tatra.. the Indonesian Army also have Caesar, but the 6x6 version (the 1st gen).. I hope we can buy more Ceasar 2 8x8 as well..

@@PacificFront 2021: Saudi Arabia has asked France to send a quotation for the delivery of 118 105LG towed howitzers, 147 CAESAR 6×6 self-propelled howitzers and 112 CAESAR 8×8 howitzers. 156 TITUS wheeled armoured vehicles are to serve as tractors for 105LG howitzers.

@@PacificFront It can be assumed that in the end they will buy only one variant: either howitzers towed by Titus vehicles, or Caesar 6x6, or Caesar 8x8.

Both are good - but If I am an Indonesian general officer I might go for tatra out of it already in service for longer here (army and marine corps alike)

The fuel and distances seem to be incorrect. The Tatra has only 420 l but goes 660km. The M.A.N. has 1514 l but only goes 483 km is there a one missing from the Tatra fuel capacity?

I already pinned a comment about this issue.. the Tatra ones is legit tho.. I got it from Tatra official site.. but for the MAN, I can't find it anywhere.. I'm sorry for the confusion..

The portion where you mentioned fuel efficiency made me really confused. You said that the MAN truck could range 483 km while consuming 1514 liters of fuel and that the Tatra could range 660km while consuming 420 liters of fuel. Except the Tatra is a heavier truck with more horsepower and a higher payload capacity. This big of a variance is physically impossible. You must have made some kind of mistake. There is absolutely no way the Tatra is more than five times more fuel efficient than the MAN while also being heavier, faster, and more powerful. Good video otherwise.

I also confused to be honest. I tried to gather reliable data as accurate as I can, but that's what I've got. the data of Tatra is reliable tho, because I got it directly from their official brochure. But the MAN portion is bit more hard to find. because Rheinmetall site doesn't give any info about that, and the data that I used is from wikipedia. I know I can't really trust it 100%, but that's what I've got. I'll try to be more accurate and reliable with my data in my future video. thank you for the comment. I appreciate it.

@Ondřej Latzka yeah.. I didn't believe it either. but there's no official data sheets that I can get when I finish recording tho. :) maybe the 1514 liters is includes external fuel tank capacity.

@@PacificFrontim kinda late to the party but 16x16 variant was made for Indian army to serve as rocket transporter. Till this day we don't know the exact number because the deal was a bit secret

@@PacificFront Tatra uses wide variety of engines, it has it´s own engines, as well as Cummings. Foreign customers prefer the cummings engines, since it has better spare parts support. But tatra engine can live through emp.
