My goodness Rhett looks so much like John - and he is tall! Your girls have all been petite like their Mama, but Rhett looks to be as tall as his Daddy! Thank you for sharing Rhett’s dedication! Do your church swear to watch over, pray for and be a part in guiding baby during the service? I love that about baby dedications at my church - it’s not just the parents dedicating baby to the Lord - every church member stands up and collectively agrees to watch over, pray for and guide baby as he grows up in the church. Then our pastor takes baby around the church where people can touch their head and pray over them. It’s beautiful and really creates a sense of family amongst our congregation. I remember after my baptism, everyone queued up to congratulate me and welcome me into the family of God. It was like I had just married and I had - I had married Jesus. I had my carers with me who are both atheists and they were amazed at how much it resembled the love they feel at a wedding. Which in a way it did, but I explained the symbolism of my dying to my old self and being reborn as a child of God!

I think Rhett loved his granny. He kept smiling at her when she was talking. Also Rhett looked adorable in that outfit. Loved it.

Don't remember my dedication but I'm 6 years older then my brother and I remember his. My Dad was the pastor so they waited till another pastor was there then dedicated him. Dedications are really special times.

I love it. We had two daughters and then a son, I tried to get him dedicated at the church I was going to at the time but the pastor wouldn’t do it because my husband didn’t go to church. I should have gone somewhere else, I regret it to this day. He’s 39 and not doing so well but I pray for him constantly. Your family is so blessed💖❤️💜💙

I liked how you both shared about your baby dedications. I really like how the church I grew up in did there’s like Kelly Jo talked about. It was individual. My parents and grandparents came up front, gave my parents and myself a flower (with a special meaning) each, presented me to the church and then had the congregation pray for me and our family. It was really special! I also love how Kelly Jo mentioned Joshua 24:15. It’s one of my favorites and it’s what my grandpa quoted on their answering machine which I’ll never forget ❤️
