Rhino Racing Exhaust install on Royal Enfeild Super Meteor 650

Join me at MOTOCAPERS to replace my stock exhaust on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 with a Rhino Racing high-performance exhaust. This exhaust is very easy to install, and from my experience provides an increase in the performance of the bike and a really nice throaty exhaust note. Paired with the DNA air filter this combination allows the bike to breathe much better.
I am serious when I say the improvement is massive, it makes the bike far more nimble and responsive, and I believe that it has provided a 25% performance increase. I am really happy with the results, and highly recommend this exhaust and air filter combination to you if you are after a better more responsive ride!!!!

The DNA air filter system is a smart choice! Id not thought of the Rhino Racing exhaust pipe application here(WITH the DB killers installed-my preference). It has to ride so much nicer now! Great job! Doug, here in America 🇺🇸🦅, and a first time rider at 59 years old!

I just love those Super Meteors. I seriously want one. I'm 6'8" or 203cm and it works really well for me when I've sat on it. can't wait until the snow and ice clears and spring comes. Thanks for a nice video!

They are great fun to ride, I love mine mate, stay tuned I will try to get another video up soon, it is 38 degrees C here today so won't be riding today but hope to get in the saddle this weekend!!

@@Motocapers I'm living in Sweden, we have 2 degrees and still a lot of snow and ice. although it's melting and we're getting 7 deg and sun later today. Hoping to get myself a little saddle time in the afternoon. I was in Melbourne, Australia for work in september last year, it was awesome. Rented a car and took a roadtrip to 12 apostles on the great ocean road. Loved it. I wish I lived somewhere where I could ride all year.

Nice vid! Would be nice having a vid where you show all the modifications you've made on your bike (all the improvements) it looks amazing. I think celestial blue is the most beautiful model.

I put that air filter on my Interceptor, I also removed the complete exhaust system and replaced with a 2-1 system. No way that added anything like 25% more power. Sure, it sounds better and maybe a little more zippy but nothing like an extra 10bhp. The original downpipes from the exhaust have material in them so I doubt the silencers achieve anything more than a more pleasant tone and different look. Love the bike!!

My mate has an interceptor as well and said the same thing about his bike. But it has really added around 20-25% to the power of the Super Meteor, I was shocked by the difference. I had a few mates ride it before and after and they agree with the % of increased power. It should be noted that I also installed a DNA filter. Have you noticed a whine noise along with the engine note? It goes away when I pull the clutch in. It’s very noticeable..I’m in the break in with only 23 miles on it.

Yes I have noticed it, and you will hear it in the video the will drop on the channel later today. I haven't noticed it too much whilst riding but it does come across very noticeable in the video sound track.

Yeah I agree mate, I replaced mine with original bar end mirrors from Royal Enfield India, they are so much better, and the look cool when paired with the black bar end finishers, Ebay has some great options! Do you think these with DB killers fitted are a good upgrade over the stock exhaust? Or is the change not as noticable without removing the DB killers?

No once I installed both I simply let the bike idle without revving for 15 minutes are the engine management system takes care of the rest!

Hi mate, I apologise for any confusion. It wasn't intentional. I hope you liked the video in any case. The new silencers are great in my humble opinion! Hope you subscribe for more in future! The EMU automatically retunes the engine after the change, you just have to let it idle without revving for around 15 minutes! Not too sure what you are referring to regarding giant badging.

They certainly give it a nice throaty note. Rippa! OK, I just looked at the tail reflector. If you want to shorten it, take the tail tidy off the bike, it's easier to work on. Using a disc cutter, cut few mmm under the existing hole. Then cut where the skinny (which holds the reflector) section meets the wider section. Paint both ends that have been cut to seal them so they do not rust. Place the skinny section under the wide section, moving it up until the reflector is touching the wide section. Clamp and drill a hole in the skinny section through the existing hole in the wide section. Slip in a nut and bolt, with washers, and some locktite,.Refit the tail tidy and Bob's you Uncle. I have a Ulysses club badge over the bolt. Check out my 3 month review video on this bike, link below, you'll see the tail reflector mod. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fr94hNd9zJybc6s.html OH! best check with NSW Dept Main Roads if there's a height regulation this reflector needs to be, as you have to get a road worthy every year. In QLD, there's no requirement for a Road Worthy each year. We only have to do one when the bike is sold.. Hope this helps. Ride well. Cheers

I purchased the exhaust through eBay. There are a lot of sellers there selling Royal Enfield accessories and parts, my advice is to scroll through and find a seller with good reviews. I haven't had any bad experiences yet. Good luck with the search!

If you're looking at Indian made exhausts you should check out some videos of gursewak exhausts for this bike too. Probably the best sounding ones so far

@@Motocapers yes. These two are the top contenders over here. Rhino racing exhaust feels more louder and gursewak sounds like it has more of a "bass" in its sound

Hi Rob, I purchased them online on eBay. There are a great number of seller on there, they were shipped from India. The company I bought from was COBHP and they were great to deal with.

Mate did you have gaskets to change when you switched to the Rhino exhaust?

No, it was all very simple. There was a gasket built into the new exhaust slip on, simply just a matter of removing and replacing. I went for a nice long ride yesterday, and the feel of the bike and sound of the exhaust is fantastic, I will be making a ride video today to highlight the pure engine sound, subscribe to make sure you don't miss it. Hi mate, I love watching your videos, hope you subscribe to catch my content as I upload. As for the fuel, I haven't really noticed much of a difference yet. The pickup and responsiveness of the bike is really noticeable though! I would highly recommend the upgrade!

Good effort mate but I don't think you got the real sound across? When you listen to any bike's exhaust (your mates bike or any bike that passes by) you don't hear the sound by putting your ear 1 inch from the end of the pipe. That was mainly pressure waves not sound. You get sound a second or so later when it travels through the air. You hear it from 6 to 10 feet away normally, so that's how you need to record it. They look great though!

Sound is there. It is comparable to some hd big twins. The audio doesn't help in this sense here but I've got the same motorcycle so I listen to the exhaust melody everyday 😊😊
