Holy crap! It sounds more like a guitar than a bass. Surprisingly versatile. Also, I agree, the D'Addario XL'S are second to none. That is all I use on both my guitars and bass. This lady deserves a lot more notoriety than she has. It's always nice to hear someone with a new approach to playing any instrument especially the bass. She actually adds a bit of a Prince sound with her guitar/bass.

I'm sure her presentation was awesome as was her performing. Top / Bottom was excellent. I hope that in the future the artists are equipped with wireless headphone microphones or lavalier so when the artist steps away from the boom mic they can be heard.

the keyboards, as usual, are way too loud... I own a PRS GG4 and sure wish I could have heard it better.. Rhonda is THE female bassist, great to see her in a setting on her own.

I agree the keyboards are too loud but saying ANY female OR male player is "THE" one is ridiculous. That's like me saying Jaco or any other male player is THE ONE. Bass isn't about what gender you are.

Awesome bassist!!! I hate when people incorrectly critique artist with a close, simple minded point of view. There are different styles and genre's. Each person has there own niche. Negative comments only show how close minded, ridiculous, and hateful people can be for no reason at all. What sets a player apart from the rest is not talent alone but there character and musicianship. Unfortunately in the realm of musicians now a days these traits are fading away due to conceited misguided individuals who will never get into the legend arena due to there character. Its a reason why she is on the level she is and I would put her up against the best.

I'm guessing soundly was possibly off to the left at the rear, and got lots of bass direct from her amp, so had it very quiet in the mix which is the audio we're hearing on the recording.. ... Still ends up pointless as video to put up

Very nice job in this well run and planned clinic by Rhonda! I am just a sucker liking the bass playing the melody but then I hear some imaginary tooth fairy playing bass behind it. In real life, the song would fall apart when the bassist decides to abandon the groove to play some fuzzed out phased melody.

I didn't listen to much of the first tune. I understand she's an incredible musician. The (opening) tips are great, but the recording was poorly mixed: I couldn't hear/understand the vocals, I couldn't hear the Bass (everything else was too loud.) Not worth my time.

Yes, her technique seems to be great, but so what. Everyone works to gain good technique. That's not inspiring. It doesn't teach anything. Perhaps she's just not good at doing a presentation. Her playing is awesome with Prince. So this was a letdown.

Sans any influence from reading other comments here; I already had come to the full realization that she was dull talent when I saw her with Mr. Beck, live here in Seattle at the Paramount Theater... She was virtually non existent in the mix there - but she was audible enough for me to hear that it was just mediocre. Lame.
