Жыл бұрынY’all are in for a treat. In this episode of #RhythmRoulette, we laid in the cut as artist, producer, and audio engineer @PierreBourne put the metaphoric shades on to dig through the crates at A-1 Records NYC, select three random records, and whip up a fresh beat for your eardrums.
The New York native won his first #Grammy for his production efforts on Ye’s album, ‘Jesus is King' and has collaborated with some of #HipHop's most influential names, including Lil Uzi Vert, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.

Sampling is also a big part of electronic music. especially like the drum&bass and the jungle/garage stuff from the early to mid 90s. hip hop is very much electronic music in a lot of ways.

This is crazy. At his age, I was in the "boom bap" beatmaking. Hundreds of beats made probably. But this generation brings something totally new to sampling. At first, I was saying to myself "what is he doing? it's a mess!", then it became clearer and clearer and the obvious sample vanished into something different. That's creative, intelligent and probably the consequence of a totally different approach to beatmaking. Great. Thank you.

Pi’erre fr the godfather of this whole new wave. He doesn’t need to sample, he can sauce up the most euphoric and addicting melodies from scratch. My fav producer other than the GOAT Ye who he was heavily influenced by

Pierre probably more comfortable showing sampling than showing how he puts together his melodies. He the godfather of all the rage stuff coming out now. And definitely helped shift the game from dark 808 mafia sounds to more playful video game type sounds.

Solid, although, I'd love to see a lot more of the actual process, like a lot of the older videos used to feature/display. This one seemed to blaze right through it all in mere seconds haha. Anyway, just my two cents, glad to see y'all back nonetheless.

Well producers like Pierre have thousands of midi drum tracks that they already made before hand, So nowadays for them to make a beat they can just drag and drop a bounce that works. I know he still made the beat but it's like he did the brunt of the work beforehand. These internet producers take entire days where they just focus on making hi hat loops, another where they are designing drum kicks, ect. That's what they have to do nowadays to get the fast results that labels want now. I usually lay all my drums down on a controller, So I don't produce like this but I know it's way faster than trying to make a new bounce for every song.
