It's only natural Carti would want to move on and work with other producers. If he stuck with Pierre then everyone would say that he carried his career but now that he's worked with other producers you can see that's not the case and if anything he is putting them on. What Pierre and Carti did will forever be classic, it's like Jay Z and Kanye, MJ and Quincy.. The partnership may not last forever but the music they made surely will

Carti and pierre were a solid duo but its good they both went their own way. Carti had to evolve his sound and pierre had to make it own his own to prove to everyone he could.

Pierre has his own style and I can say as a listener of each Life of Pierre album he gets better. His last album with the ticket aesthetic fresh af. And I like Carti's new directions. It's clear they excel in diff lanes. But hopefully we see them work together in the future sorry for the book

the leaks definitely messed up the rollout and momentum for wlr v1 and it would’ve been cool to have an official release but i wouldn’t say it ruined everything. majority of fans including myself look back on the era with high praise. even when kid cudi leaked , that song blew up so much that it was on spotifys top 50 songs despite it being unreleased. you literally couldn’t go anywhere without someone bumping that song or hearing it on social media with a fan made visual. idk about you but summer 2019 was such a magical time during those leaks back to back to back. again an official release definitely would’ve been miles better but carti has a history of flaking with releases so you could say that this was the best possible outcome we could’ve gotten

the other comment says it was more memorable for the wlr v1 get leaked and in a weird way i agree. the leaks and snippets during 2019 created a hype that i don’t think can be replicated. the reason i would say it was more memorable was mainly because you never knew when the next song would get leaked. you could wake up and 5 new tracks would surface and that’s what you were listening to the whole day and not only did this create very fun and exciting memories, this would send shockwaves around the whole internet. i feel like this sort of created a sense of suspense and eagerness for the next leak. it was one thing to get a snippet but to get a full track leaked despite not knowing if it would actually release always created a very positive but indescribable feeling.

It was wokeuplikethis k$uprme originally had the beat but gave it to carti. Pierre said he was mad at first but then they started making music together. Also he put 3 tags on magnolia because wokeuplikethis didn’t have a tag and a lot of people didn’t know who Pierre was.

It’s crazy how Carti dropped his most popular prod at the time and then elevated with F1lthy, etc. and is on a different level, but Uzi did the same with Maaly Raw, DP, Cannon, and then hitched his wagon to Brandon Finessin which is arguably what caused his “fall from grace” *by fall from grace I just mean he doesn’t have rap in the palm of his hands like he did in 2017-2020

The amount of classics Pi’erre gave Carti from the official songs and leaks are crazy. There’s not Carti without P and he should be more grateful imo. It’s weird Carti would rock with people who make off brand Pi’erre beats but I’m not mad at him going to other producers because EVERYONE stole him and Pi’erre’s style. Ain’t watch yet and I love both carti, Pierre and what they accomplish as solo artists, creatively, innovators and of course as collaborators. Idk if there’s even “politics” or real problems or this is all just the internet doing its thing; but I wish the best for both of em as they are both legends in their own right (this is my opinion) wish they could work together to keep furthering sounds because i believe they push each other so much sonically/ have done so much for the Sonics of hip hop on both/ many ends.

Cover the story, give the perspective of fans in certain instances, phrases like “highly anticipated” or “fan favorite” would better in my opinion, especially if I was a new viewer that wasn’t familiar with the story.
