Seriously one of the best Neuro Bass tutorials i've seen so far. Thank you very much! Really glad, that you didn't pull out a random plug in which also costs money in the end to fullfill that soud, like a whole lot of people do :D

Another great piece of knowledge :D thanks! It feels like I already know everything what You showed and how You achieved that sound, but the way how You get there makes so much more sense, same with tutorial for crunchy paper bass, first create bass for a bass with not much high end, add filtering and from there go easy with introducing distortion. I’m always getting carried away with adding either too much distortion or adding it too quick and loosing all the structure I was going too what makes sound really messy. Keep it up m8!

Great to see ur workflow in detail and not only a 5 min vid of u twisting the knobs. Not a lot of people do this, and even less people do explain it as well as u do.

Yeah that's something I don't like about some tutorial channels, "set knob A to 50%, knob B to 35%, and so on...", that to me just doesn't make sense because you don't really learn much from it. Instead I like to explain WHY I do certain things, that to me is much more informative and helpful than the other way of doing it. Thanks for your comment!

@@artfxdnb hey I have a question. I wanted to an off-rhythm modulation bass in serum which slows down over time but will be in 1/16 or 1/8 modulation in the start or mid of a bar. Basically, I want an off rhythm bass which is IN RHYTHM in the start of the bar but glides down like portamento to other rhythms when its nit in the start of the bar or the mid of teh bar. I tried my best to explain this but this is the best I can do...
@artfxdnb
@artfxdnb 5 жыл бұрын
@@arnav3133 Start by using the delay setting of the LFO, this will offset the start position of the LFO itself. Then you can automate or use a macro to move the rate of the LFO.

If you use portamento, use longer notes and mess with the LFO a bit you can create some nice wild bass sweeps/loops. This bass sounds really fat 1 octave lower. Also, play with that compressor, especially the release knob, I thought it sounded best at around 90ms but that's personal taste I guess. Thanks for this video, you rock!

When you start the manipulation process, it's a whole different ball game, and only you know how much time it takes to get that particular sound. When you ask a listener what they think of the sound, they usually don't know what they're supposed to be listening for.

I cant seem to control the low end on the Mulitband EQ in the Compressor.
@thoraht
@thoraht 4 жыл бұрын
is there a reason why you did the EQ before the compressor at the end of the video? i always use one (technical EQ) before the compressor when i dont need sub and filter it out that the compressor gets the signal without lows, so it compress the rest of the signal tighter (as we know sub has most energy) after the compressor i add a musical EQ, after that i duplicate the channel, remove everything except of the LFO2 you used on this bass and make a clean sine sub wich i saturate with tape saturation, i never mix the Sub inside the Bass Bus Channel because the saturation and compression whats going on inside the Buss will fuck up the Sub layer. i just use a little bit of limiting on the sub to keep it consistant in loudness you do a great job :)

Not a huge deal, because it's an awesome tutorial so far. But there seems to be a problem with the sound quality. When you hear the pure saw wave, there are some compression artifacts. Maybe you could try to remove that? Otherwise thanks for great content as always!
