I'm not too familiar with how to become a financial/budget analyst so my recommendation is to do a quick job search to find your "dream job description" and basically try to build your experience over the next couple of years by finding internships or connecting with people who are already working in those positions over information coffee meetings. Lily Zhang hey so business analysis focuses on identifying business problems and determining solutions which often involves implementing new technologies, and changing business processes. Business Analytics refers to more in depth research of historical data of an organization and using statistics to find out why something happened. It can involve data mining and statistical models. I would say this is more data research driven compared to business analysis!

Ngoc Nguyen You should look into Babok guide (www.iiba.org/standards-and-resources/babok/) as it contains a wealth of knowledge when it comes to business analysis! I always reference this guide book to get more insights as well. Also, you should do some research to find out which industry you are interested in and what type of business analyst you want to become!
