We are super excited to be able to get backout to the Drift mine and do some Gold prospecting and my wife will be doing all the heavy labor and I will be working the Hoist . I am still in shock as to what we found down there or should say what my wife found. She is the best and I don't know what I would do without her. Jeff, a few months ago you gave an honest review of your favorite Jackhammers... Thank you so much!!! I watched it because , well, I like your videos... Then I needed to do some "gardening" in my backyard in Arizona, finding dirt harder than cement. I remembered your awesome video and watched it again, Thank you for giving me information I'd never thought I'd use. What a life saver you were. I bought a jackhammer for planting plants, digging irrigation trenches and anything else I can think of using it for. it has become my hands on favorite DIY tool for the house and inspired me enough to want to do gardening in the desert.

It’s something I didn’t ever take into account until I found my 3/4 ounce nuggy and got a real case of gold fever, which told me to stay and mine all summer like it was a good idea. 🤣 I lived in a 1990 motorhome, off grid with no more power than my 100w solar panel could provide, and a rare few hours I could afford to run my big generator and AC. Poor ole Jeep don’t have no AC either. Naked in the shade was my life hahah! I would go out at night and mine because my motorhome was heat soaked to over 100 degrees for most of the day, making it miserable to be in at night. Made friends with many snakes, black widows and tarantulas! I had a few early morning hours of napping and then it would be back out on the gold before the sun got too hot, then back to hiding in the shade. Rinse and repeat. Many days and many hours I had to literally ask myself how the old timers would have survived and worked the very ground I was on, and somewhere in that I would find a way to make it through another day. Them old miners were tougher than all of us today. I’d see old miner’s cabins and stone shacks at the top of the mountains and just sit there amazed at how they even got there, say nothing about the earth they moved while they were there. It’s some of my favorite thinkin moments I have when I’m out there. Some days I swear I hear em laughing at me in the wind when I give up and cursing me when I find them nuggets they missed or never got to. Awesome nugget! There ain’t nothing better than the Monster overloading because the nugget is so fat! Nice find!! Hahaha her face when you said she had to give it away 🥺😢😭😭😭

I have to agree with you and we think the same thing about the " Old Timers " they were tough as nails and did the unthinkable. We always are awe struck to see their achievements and what they had to endure....truly amazing people and I don't think any one today could do what they did ....thanks for sharing your story , we really enjoyed reading it. Love it when the Monster overloads in the Drift mine
