watching richard light up while he talks about films makes me so incredibly happy i wish this was longer
@whatevershebrings3 жыл бұрын
It *was* longer; this was a brief lighting and sound check. Ayoade, known as "The Lugubrious Chestnut" to his peers, held court in that closet for nearly three hours. The extended cut will be released as a special feature on a Criterion DVD of his choosing.

The Criterion Collection better add Submarine because that film is designed to be released on it! Love Submarine's story, humour, acting, characters, Erik Wilson's beautiful cinematography taking place in Swansea, Wales, the incredibly underrated score by Andrew Hewitt and an iconic soundtrack by Arctic Monkeys Frontman Alex Turner to boot! Timeless, funny, charming, endearing, but, sad and plucks your heart strings throughout! I still haven't seen the IT Crowd and think Richard Ayoade is talented at comedy and most likely the most successful British Comedian film director since Terry Gilliam!
