Well i am not sure how I should word it, yes some peoples tone of voice may sound unpleasant or irritating to some but it is up to the rational mind of the one who hears that voice to realize and ensure that the arguments of the person are not diminished by their tone of voice and still should be paid attention to as unpleasant that experience might be for an individual I personally find her voice to be unique and quite charismatic and that really enriches it for me Antworten

I think there's more to the McDonald's cofee case than most people are aware of, especially the man who asked the question about rewarding people for spilling coffee on their genitals. I mean, the defendant was a 79 year old woman who had to undergo a skin grafting procedure due to third degree burns caused by the coffee. While in the hospital, she went from 103 to 83 pounds, further putting her health at risk. Even after the grafting, she was permanently disfigured. While you can argue that she spilt the coffee on herself, you can't deny that McDonald's put her life in danger by giving her a scalding cup of coffee, which was far above the temperature one could reasonably expect. She racked up a bill of $10,500 in the hospital and requested $20,000 from McDonald's for actual and projected expenses. McDonalds, a multi billion dollar corporation, offered her $800 in damages. The preceding court case rectifyed the situation, but after the case, the defendant's name has been drug through the mud by everyone who doesn't know the details of the case, and that infuriates me! I can't believe that McDonalds and other resturaunts are criticizing her for what was largely McDonalds's fault.

@Bryan-dr5qy
@Bryan-dr5qy 4 жыл бұрын
@@BuildNRoll That's exactly it, people like to think 'atheist' is just another label or form of dogma so when an atheist does something bad it's as if it reflects on the whole community. Atheism shouldn't even be a word much less be considered a belief system as much calling people who don't like sports a type of sports fan should be. It's just that unfortunately society worldwide has made religion into something unavoidably necessary as if it's as hereditary as something like race. This is the crux of why atheism was even coined; to challenge the societal norm that religion is required to be moral. The whole point of atheism is to emphasise the misuse and conflation of labelling people based on something they can't control like hereditary physical features and environment of birth with something they can control like choices and actions

WISE MAN. MORE LIKE STUPID. RICHARD DAWKINS PACT IT UP. I JUST HAD CATARACT SURGURY DONE OF MY RIGHT EYE. A WEEK BEFORE THE SURGURY, I HAD MY EYES CHECK TO RENEW MY LICENSE WHICH I BARELY PASSED. THE DOCTOR RECOMMENDED I SHOULD REPLACE THE LENS. WHEN THE DOCTOR DIALATED MY EYES EVERYTHING WAS MAGNIFIED SO MUCH I WAS ABLE TO SEE TO MUCH DETAIL, MUSTACHE HAIR ON WOMEN'S FACE AND ARMS. OLDER PEOPLE LOOKED MUCH OLDER AND WRINKLED. SKINNY WOMEN WHO WERE NORMALLY GORGEOUS, YOU WERE ABLE TO SEE THE INPERPECTIONS ON THERE SKIN AND CELLULITE WRINKLE ON THERE LEGS WHICH YOU NORMALLY WOULD NOT SEE. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK NOW AND MY RIGHT EYE PUPIL IS STILL DIALATED. I WENT TO MY FRIENDS PARTY YESTERDAY AND THROUGH THE PRESCRIBED TEMPORARY SUN GLASSES. I SAW EVERY DETAIL EVEN THOSE WHO WERE DRINKERS, I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE PORES NOT ONLY ON THEIR FACES, BUT ON THEIR NOSES LIKE THE ACTOR CW FIELDS. THIS BROUGHT ME TO THE QUICK CONCLUSION WITHOUT A DOUBT A MASTER OF DESIGN WAS INVOLVED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HUMAN BODY. THE CREATOR HAD TO PERFECTLY FOCUS THE EYE LENS TO ONLY SEE WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO SEE, WHICH LETS US SEE THE BEAUTY OF LIFE. WE ARE NOT MEANT TO SEE ANY THING MORE THAN THAT, LIKE A MICROSCOPE WHICH CAN SEE THE PORES ON THE SKIN WHICH GOD PUT THERE THAT SERVE THE FUNCTION OF PERSPERATION. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK NOW AND MY PUPILS ARE STILL DIALAITED. I CAN SEE ALL THE DETAILS AND SURFACE SCRATCHES IN GLASS AND MANY OTHER SURFACES EVEN CRACKS IN THE ROAD. NOTHING LOOKS RIGHT BECAUSE THEY EYES ARE OVER FOCUSED. SO TELL ME RICHARD DAWKINS. HOW DID EVOLUTION WHICH HAS NO ENGINE OF INTELLEGENCE DRIVING IT PERFECTLY FOCUS THE EYES LENS. TO SEE WHAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE SEEN AND NOT MORE WHICH MAINTAINS THE BEAUTY OF LIFE. FACE THE FACT MR. DAWKINS THAT A CREATOR GOD DOES EXIST AND HE IS THE GOD OF THE BIBLE MAN HAS KNOWN FOR 1000'S OF YEARS.

1:18:20 what he describes sounds like lamarckian evolution to me: i agree that, if the gene flow stops for long enough, we get a (or two) new species of human; but how is natural selection going to cause them to adapt to their environment given an earth-like chance of survival/reproduction? sexual selection? but that doesn't cause more offspring for attractive humans on earth, either.

The last two appearances of Julia Sweeney with Dawkins were disappointing with showing how mushy and biased she has become, honestly admitting that she's softened to religion because of her personal desires to be closer with her family, and then not so honestly promoting accommodationist claims for religion in general. Dawkins having a soft spot for Sweeney's earlier performances leaves him less inclined towards countering her attitude-shift. I haven't watched this one yet, so maybe this time it's different, maybe not.
@nathane5287

Was looking promising until about a half an hour in when Sweeney started with christian apologetics and waffling poetic about how beautiful myths like Noa's Ark or Jesus' death are if you reinterpret them beyond recognition. Well, at least it's simply subjective so far, what pleases her aesthetic sensibilities.
