Omnipresent means God is present at all places from the infinite past to the infinite future at the same time. He is not bound by time or space. He also doesn't mean male the pronoun He refers to God and is always capitalized.

This is an age of materialism and misrepresentations of reality. We have to endure unmitigated nonsense, such as is expounded by Mr. Dawkins. Higher ages are on the way, fortunately. We are evolving up from the last dark age, so there is hope in sight. We have partial understanding of electricity, the environment and entity ones, there are likely more. We have some understanding of electromagnetism, none of magnetism itself, or of mind (does it emerge with quantum events?) And absolutely no understanding of consciousness. But Mr Dawkins can explain it all for us, I don’t think so.

2024 here. As a non religious person I must say I see that in the last 12 years since this conversation took place the landscape has changed radically in favor of religion. Even in Europe sectors of the population that in 2012 wouldn't have cared less about Christianity, today they proudly call themselves Cultural Christians. A kind of political Christianity fighting what they call the cultural battle. To claim Europe back from islamization, globalism, wokism, etc. In South America and Africa, people are becoming more radical Christians than ever and numbers in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, etc are soaring. New converts everywhere. The word God is mentioned all the time even in mainstream media everywhere in South America with the exception of tiny Uruguay (where atheism and agnosticism is as prevalent as in Nordic countries). Quite puzzling.

These 4 men were once considered men of deep wisdom. Hitch will be remembered for his likable humour (lacking in his brother), though his vocal support for the invasion of Iraq has aged poorly. Dawkins and Harris have become caricatures. Close analysis of their arguments against God's existence seem superficial and thus far less convincing these days.

True science, and true religion is not for primitive species. Humans are negative in the evolutionary scale and only descending. They are worse than the plagues and the viruses, they make.

I loved Dr. Daniel Dennett, very sad to hear about his passing, I would have loved to meet him, he was my absolute favorite, an intellectual giant, a legend, true sage, heard he was also very kind gentle person, huge loss to civilization, I will watch tons of his lectures in the next few weeks in his memory, I made a playlist of his lectures and interviews for myself to work through, listening to Dr Dennett lectures would be my idea of Heaven 1:09:49

Oh, give us a break. I’m so tired of these evangelists for naturalism pretending they have a science on their side. The best “evidences” of evolution come from graphic designers, not from reality…as this elementary intro to philosophy series video amply demonstrates.

The best reason for believing in God . God has proven himself billions of times . Every time a baby is born , it is the gift of life from God . Only God can create life . Scientists certainly cannot create life . Dolly the Sheepinstein was a heartless , souless clone . I know that atheism has nothing to do with evolution , so are you an atheist who wants to shed the shackles of the ridiculous belief of evolution ? Then please at least question evolution . Darwin is not infallible . Do not make him into some sort of a god . Denounce Darwin and his pseudo science . Jesus is the truth and he is alive today . Darwin was a lying con man , sob , snake oil salesman , perverted finch molester and the son of the devil . Check out Ben Stein's excellent documentary ' Expelled : No Intelligence Allowed ', which there are brilliant scientists who are fired simply because they questioned the ' almighty ' Darwin . All Darwin is , is a troublemaker !

Very okay discussion. Do you really want to totally end tax exemption for religion writ large? Do we have an example of a society without religion entirely, where a foundational school of ethics is presented first class?? I think evidence is evidence and industry is industry, but you cant axe the church for convenience and educationa sake without sacrificing something...like moral conventions are begotten from *responsible* churches. And its a shame we have to even underscore that, but that underscores my point further. Shame on megachurches, and the megachurch of marketing. And humanism, ethics, and even old-world moralisms can coexist with new age natural and social sciences. Thank you

Lemaitre did say what you are quoting. He saw the Mastermind who brought the Universe into existence. Science proves the existence of God. What you are explaining is how God brought things into existence. YOU CANNOT SEPERATE SCIENCE FROM GOD NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY. SCIENCE IS RELIGION. Nothing is Nothing.... You are talking about something and calling it nothing??😂😂😂

We as children see the order which random processes without deep implicit order in each part. Dawkins says DNA is chemical ROM, and digital base 64 megabytes of "Solves the problem of," for human's need for explanation. Not looking at the big picture of how the dance beneath works. If no Transcendent God, then no Imago Dei. Follow the science of that. You really would not wish to live there.

I hope this comment finds you well Dr. Hawkins. I do think 65 million years is far too short of a time for millions of things going right one after another, to produce us, and every other life around us. This universe rules the laws of entropy, where order turns to disorder. Not the other way around. I also think this universe had no beginning and no end. An oscillating universe that keeps blowing up as a single black hole after trillions of years. God is in the details. God is the universal mind that manifests in evolutionary beings everywhere the environment allows. DNA is like an infection that travels the universe via panspermia. Life is an infection of sorts. You are not wrong about religion's God being a hoax and man-made. However, you stopped their and didn't go after the goal of a God. What would a God want most of all? My conclusion is it would want to live as all the life forms possible. Learn as much as possible at each iteration of the universe. In order to do that, It needs a universe that mimics a brain that could act as an evolutionary amplifier, with galaxies interconnected by hydrogen highways. Yes, the latest research has proven me right. That there are ionized hydrogen highways between galaxies. What is the purpose of them? Our brain, is just like the universe. All interconnected neurons, acting as one mind. The universal mind, uses galaxies instead of neurons. When we destroy ourselves, it won't make the slightest difference. There are thousands of other more advanced civilizations that are not blood thirsty violent apes, but also humanoid! How is that possible if the evolution was not written into to the mathematical equations we call reality? That also explains the alien presence on Earth for centuries, and human abductions for medical biopsies. It explains animal mutations with only certain organs removed. These beings are also after knowledge. They are studying us and our societies for hundreds of years. They want to become Gods themselves. They are doing what we dream of doing today with Ai and robotics. Except ours is a pathetic attempt and theirs is genetics engineering on the level we can't even dream of. There is a God. He lives as all life everywhere. He might even be an Ai we are so afraid of. When there is no spacetime, any computer can simulate an infinite universe under the rule of mathematical models. Be well.
