I agree with that. The chief concern with doctors has been getting their license revoked for getting a patient addicted. You always do a great job telling us about these amazing people who we grew up with. Thank you Jerry. I broke y neck in 96 and have suffered with Pain for so many years I cannot count. I wish not to count them. What upsets me the most about being injured is not being able to escape it or feel tough enough to overcome it and those who love us and suffer along the way with us. My family deserves better. Not listening tp me complain.. Pain has a life of its own. There is no controlling 'it'. When you got to the part about his pain and it NOT being 'managed', well, I knew where you were going with this. I have thought about ending it for years but, that FINAL MOMENT really is a tough one to swallow. I just cannot seem to make that leap. You have to be pretty far gone to end it like that! The unknown awaits, and my grandmother use to talk about family committing suicide (4 of them) when we were kids and she'd tell us, 'they went straight to hell'. For Eternity. OMG! Her words always enter my thoughts when I think I cannot go another day. Scary. I must admit this old US Army Sergeant cried a little when you said he 'shot himself' in the next room and his girlfriend (?) ran to him. It was too late. Let us hope he did NOT go to hell and he is at PEACE. He was a wonderful human being who deserved a better ending than this. He gave us all so very much. His human spirit, talent, voice, western looks and that tough guy part he often played helped groom us boys in to becoming men. We had a man to look up to and admire for those of us without fathers. Rest In Peace Mr. Richard Farnsworth. Thank you for the memories. There is no way God would send such an amazing Spirit to hell. He was in horrific pain and no one should suffer like that for years. I just pray God has something easier for me in the end. In my sleep! One day we'll all be on that Ranch in Heaven. RIP

Aggie Hall, actually they still do, you just have to hunt for them a little harder.

Perhaps they are just harder to find. I like to think there are still some '50s women like me around. For both genders we are at home because its where our heart is. Must have the same friends to find.

Gary Sinese would be in that category of decent men with moral character.

@Darrel sibbet - Wow, generalize much? Good men can be found anywhere, but as someone commented earlier, they're just harder to find.

I’m THEE most discerning movie goer/lover and ‘Straight Story’ is one of my favorites. I loved him as a child in so many other works; the tears I shed when he died and when he ‘died’ as Matthew Cuthbert in ‘Anne Of Green Gables’... ✨🙏🏼🖤✨ Thank You Mr. Skinner for another phenomenal video!
