It's still crazy to me that the only car that had no mechanical issues was James's Caterham which is basically a track toy and the one car that they lost was the Focus

As someone of Malagasy descent (living elsewhere, unfortunately), this is just embarrassing and sad. Between tough terrain, colonialism, and corruption, many of our roads are in shambles. We can never develop our economy without infrastructure reform and modernization. This is sad, but true from an economic standpoint.

Hammond's car using tracks instead of wheels would've been a good idea in Wales: cold weather and muddy paths, but with heat and rocks, the wheels of those tracks were doomed.

the caterham was the MVP of that episode. Also James we in australia would call that "road" a "track" as in a dirt track or a 4wd track sooo, technically it was doing fine on the "track"

Bentley SERIOUSLY needs to turn the MFB into a real car. The Continental has proven Time and time AGAIN that it’s main hidden party piece is just how good it is as Off-Roading

These roads would put modern Ford Raptors and Broncos and Jeep Wranglers and Chevy Colorado ZR2s through their paces. It’s amazing that the only car that broke was the car that was built by the most off road person of the 3

The Bentley had problems only because mud filled the radiators. Other than that, nothing went wrong with it.

Takes like 20seconds to tension those tracks properly too. But Hammond had the right idea out of the box.

the road wheels were too small for off road use, those tracks were for snow-like conditions. Earlier in the show when theyre on a potholed road you see the little roadwheels flying off everytime he hit a pothole, as in literally being ejected away
