for sure the 80's was the peak , I just commented on the outfield's song lose your love , I said that the 80s were the best , we had malls , arcades , junior high school dances , skate boarding , movies like the Goonies , Karate Kid , Rocky 3&4 , Back to the future , Lost Boys , Miniature golf at Golf and Stuff , and great songs like this one along with Lose your love , Forever Young , Stevie B's spring love , Fantasy Girl and many more . I have been watching 80's movies with my 11 yr and 7 yr old daughters and they love them . They are more wholesome and they have a message , Boy do I miss the 80's

When my ex had a sudden heart attack I could not say goodbye. I went to the funeral and was left speechless for a few weeks. This song started to play in my head I did not even know the title. I went to a shop and sang the tune, the shop assistant knew it and said she would order it. When I went to pick it up, she said “don’t you want to listen to it?” I said “no”, I knew I 4:30 would bawl my eyes out in the shop. I kept that for when I came home. That song said everything I needed to hear, it was us. 🙏🏻❤️ I know it was his message to me. That was magic.

I remember this as a hit on the radio, but now that I'm older I can hear so clearly what a well-written song it is. Lots of layers, cool bassline, some neat key changes, and of course that sax solo rules!

Growing up during this time in 1988 was so awesome and magical..The 80s music was simply incredible. No childish lyrics. When we werent cynical about love. So glad I was a kid and teenager during these times before social media and cell phones and 9/11..We use cell phones but if it was all taken away, we could adapt easy and live just fine without it all like we did in the 80s and 90s. Richard Marx is simply one of the greatest songwriters ever.

Jennifer J Wow, well said. I was born in 1980 & these 80s songs as a kid are still just timeless. I love how we remember how we felt when we listen to the songs we loved as a kid, that essence our soul whatever you want to call it doesn’t age or change & you can just instantly go back & know exactly how u felt when u heard it growing up.
