Ironically, he was never the most visual singer. His look during his heyday with the mullet and the earring was very contrived and ordinary.

- My first love, my first girlfriend, my first kiss was her. And I too, was her first-for-all. We were both teenagers and so young. - I know she remembers me giving her this song on a mix tape that I made & presented to her as I said goodbye for what was going to be forever as she boarded that plane in the summer of 1989 as she left me in order to return home to her family on that tiny distant island that was 18+ hrs ahead of the States, where I was. - This song always brings me back to those days, those memories, & back to my first love, summer love.

He is one of my favorite artists if all time. As as tribute to him, I made a music video of his 2 most romantic songs. The video used a scene of moonlight on the water at Seaside Park. The 2 songs are "Right here waiting" and "Hold on to the night".

His music was too formulaic and polished. He knew how to write hits, but many of them sounded like other people’s hits. To his credit, “Right Here Waiting” sounded more distinct and that’s why that one is still played on classic hits and adult hits radio today.

Daisy is smoken hot and Richard and Daisy look swell and passionate for each other today but I still am unresolved and conflicted about this one sad fact in Richards life of their divorce from Cynthia Rhodes (Marx?), after all they had a life and several children together. So what gives? I love what Richard and Daisy have done for each other but how do you just hang a twenty five year marriage out to dry? Alone truly sucks and people men and women surely do need each other. But why this twisted mess is called out dated and post modern it is just too anti God.

I love Cynthia, love her!! I've admired her since I saw her dance, and then listening to her sing, what a talented woman. There are few artists in the world that can be so talented all the way around like her. She's truly unique. I admire her even more now that she's been so quiet about her divorce. She's truly a lady.
