The comments are jumping to conclusions it seems. He isn't saying that that single surah is the only reason he converted, rather it was a factor along others. Don't discount others' research upon ignorance.

I grown up in Dearborn Michigan and grew up around Muslims and have nothing but the upmost respect and love for all.. but people fear the unknown they just see whats on the news and movies and automatically think negative

I know this will attract criticism but I’ve seen this clip a few times and I feel like I need to get this off my chest (and I’m interested in what other people have to say in response). I am and have always been an atheist and my view on religion is basically summed up by that verse but it does make me sad that he needed to see that in a book to realise this, maybe its just the way I was raised or I’m missing something else but to me thats just common decency and I don’t need anything/anyone to tell me that

Absolutely no criticism but the context of this chapter of Quran called Al-Kafiroon was that after the disbelievers of Quraysh declared that they would worship Allah on the condition that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also worshipped their gods for some time I.e. taking turns in worshipping God/Gods. But Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, got this message from angel Gabriel in the form of Surah Kafiroon that for you is your religion and for me is my religion. I.e. not compromising on the ethics and principles of Islam and not to adopt acts of worships to please others as that will stand against justice to oneness of God. As Atheist in modern societies the teachings gets muddled up in an indirect enforcement of accepting that what others do we have to believe in and celebrate such as LGBTQ. The lines are so blurred out between right and wrong. So when you say I don't need a religion to teach me, unfortunately on the other extreme of no faith, humanity is failing as there are no divisions between right and wrong anymore. Where do we draw a line? When a kid can stand up in class barking like a dog saying today I feel like I am born in a wrong body as I am a dog then where do we stand as a human race? So yes common sense and diversion from our innate nature on which we have been created upon by God called fitrah is gone out of window. Islam says Muslims are ummate wasata I.e. middle nation. Neither on extreme of religion/rituals neither on loose from everything above religion. We don't give other cheek to be slapped upon but justice is prevailed with compassion and empathy.

This is a topic which would take hours, maybe days of talking to do the topic justice but I feel a strong urge to answer to your comment because I can feel that your comment is honest and very respectful put in words so thank you for that. I dont know how old you are or how you grew up but I can assure you that life circumstances can easily disturb a "healthy" way of thinking as we can see with this particular man. Sometimes even the most basic things have to be spoken out or have to be read or have to heard to actually grasp it. Not because you didn't know until that point, but because you were distracted so much by bullshit that it was just not possible find the right track. Besides, I think that it had a big impact that he saw a big disconnect between what the quran says and what these people he hated did. So his image of islam was painted by humans who do things that don't sum up with the teachings of the quran. Thats one thing i can say avout this topic but again, there is soo mich more to say and talk and think about this that its not possible to donit justice in the yourube comment section. I hope you understand what I mean because English is not my native language and I wish you the best. I know you are an atheist but God/Allah loves the ones who question things and try to understand and you my friend are one of these people so keep going and i am sure that sooner or later you will find your way to God/Allah. Peace and love :) Edit: I just have to add this because I would feel uncomfortable not saying this at this point. The quran can only be understood if read as a whole because it is structured that way. You can consider it a way of "storytelling" which forces the reader to read all to actually understand the connections. This why some verses can be heavily misunderstood when read without further knowledge about the connection to other verses. Ok now I'm done.

O disbelievers, I do not worship what you worship. Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship. THIS IS WHAT I LOOKED UP. Im not sure if it's to people who don't believe in Allah. But I do believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He rescued me and I could hear him audibly. The bible says If anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation, the old is gone, the new is here. Im telling you, He did a major turn around in my life. Sooo my question is, am I a disbeliever because I dont worship Allah?

Unfortunately yes. If you dont believe in the Oneness of God(arabic word is Allah), than yes according to the Quran you are a disbeliever. Abraham, Isacc and Jacob didnt belive in Christ as a part of God. They belived in the Oneness. If you want to know more about God Surah Ikhlas and Ayat al Kursi make it easy to understand. I am happy for you that you found your way with Jesus. In Islam he was a person with macial power GIVEN by God. Out of the billions and billions of people he was choosen and loved by God. But God makes it clear in the Quran that he has no son (why would he -> only we people reproduce; he creates). It is a really a big thing in Islam (submission to the will of God) not to believe in other Gods (like Jesus). If somebody does, than he is a disbeliever. Nevertheless like it is stated in surah kafiron "For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." It is among other things about coexisting 😊 I will always prefere a Christian to an Atheist or Agnostic because Christan and Moslems we understand eatchother in relation to religion.

Im a bit confused.... Ive also seen that it talks about grown men having to nurse on a MARRIED woman, Muhammad saying to someone that they should've married a little girl instead of their wife that they just married, and thanking Allah to allow him to give in to his lust and sexual immorality, etc.... HONESTLY, I don't believe what this guy is saying. I've heard COUNTLESS testimonies of Christians who were once muslim that they are being hated, beaten, imprisoned, abandoned by their own familes, and their families reporting them because of their conversation or even just finding the new believers with a Bible in their possession which results in their death at times...There is no YOU GO YOUR WAY I GO MINE.

Bruh just read the quaran what he says is literally there just Google surah al kafirun. His translation isn't the most accurate but look it up. And you also mentioned countless Muslims converting to Christianity? Any source / video or anyother evidence? If not stop talking out of your butt throwing doubts to those who wants to convert.
