Who doesn’t remember Flip Wilson if you’re not a youngster… Sir.. You just can’t be guessing these things… do your research BEFORE you present so that you don’t appear misinformation like Flip being a nickname for Richard Pryor which is cringe worthy at best. Flip Wilson was one of the leading representatives of our Culture in America… Know your History!!

I would laugh at, Who is Flip. However, I spent more than 30 years talking about the Funky Rock Show, it was on Public Access. Folks looked at me like I was nuts... until one day, dude who I wasn't talking to turned around and said 'Oh, hell no, that's taking me back". 30 years, I get around, and I talk to everybody about any and everything. I got head injuries, that socital detatchement really fuks with me, makes me think I'm loosing it. It's happened with a bunch of stuff, from the fore mentioned, to products, and labeling.

@evilfantasy69

I doubt most of those "white men" were hitting on the man in the dress. It's much more likely they were playfully testing him to see if he was playing a part or actually a transvestite. It's easier to get the truth when being playful and friendly rather than confrontational. Being confrontational puts the other person on guard and they are less likely to tell the truth about their sexuality.

Yea it sounds like an excuse or a misunderstanding on the part of this bodyguard. The reason they would rather keep those things private because if you announce to everyone you are giving away money then there will be an immediate long line of people asking for money that you have to say no to.Saying no to people is much more damaging to your reputation and peace of mind then helping people so it's better to just keep it quiet. A damaged reputation will dry up the money People knowing you help the poor will just cause headaches.

Brutha, and I'm referring to you phonetically. You seemed to be unaware of the systematic racist mechanisms used to focus on keeping the black community economically, socially, and judicially disenfranchised and deprived. Perhaps you could learn considerably more from broadcasters e.g., Jason Black, of "The Black Authority", and the Professor of "The Moment of Truth" among others, who could enlighten you on the deviousness of the system in which we, as black people, live and have to function in. The fact that you weren't even aware of Flip Wilson, who ran a very popular and successful entertainment program on NBC for many years in the 1960s, yet make comments to listeners that it was someone else, another successful Black entertainer, who also faced racial challenges during that time period, demonstrates your lack of awareness of historical figures in Black culture. Do some fact checking before commenting on the subjects you air.

I think the only time I see any people give to the poor is usually just in things like outreaches. Such as food pantries, soup kitchens, giving out various essentials. Never financially though. Though if I recall, Lebron James spent a ton in the area where he grew up. I'm sure others have done that though, I don't know as I am not really into sports. Living in/near Cleveland though its all we heard about on the news for a long time. That said, no one should help those who don't want to help themselves. Doesn't matter their race, gender, political views...etc. Being disabled it's annoying because I do everything I can to make money, even if only $150 a month sometimes. But I know other people who aren't disabled but claim they need help. But they make zero effort to make some sort of money. If you gave them money, they would just blow it on garbage instead of fixing their situation. If someone gave me 10k, I can change my situation around for the better. People are so bad with money sadly today.
