The Supreme Court ruling is a good step in the right direction. But let’s be realistic, the admissions process contains so many workarounds that race will continue to be considered during the selection process. Reverse brain drain will begin to happen sooner or later in the US, especially back to Asia (China, South Korea, Singapore).

I don't understand Sander's point at 23 minutes. Why is it "challenging" or bad for the elite University of California schools if they become totally race blind, they give out offers to the 2% of black students who academically qualify , but those black students get better offers elsewhere? How exactly would those schools suffer? Does he mean that they would be sued for not being diverse enough? Or the board of directors would complain that the fact that elite UC schools are only 1% black looks politcally incorrect?

Harvard and other universities will, if required , be more than willing to give all their black students a grade boost to make the average black grade across the university the same as the average non-black grade. Either on the books or off the books.
