Ship To Shore is the nineteenth and new studio album by the magnificent singer-songwriter and guitarist Richard Thompson, one of the greatest interpreters of British folk rock. It’s an electric record but also with references to the Fairport Convention, enchanting, perfect in the sounds. Richard at the age of 75, made an indisputable work and the voice and his guitar are true and intact. For sure it will appeal to fans of the genre but will also attract new ones. Not to be missed!

I have enjoyed his compositions and lyrics since Fairport Convention. For my money, he’s the most creative and brilliant guitarist on the scene today.

Incredible album! I have been a RT fan for a long time but sort of drifted away for a spell. bought it after hearing just the first few tracks. Highly recommend this; it will rejuvenate!

I have listened to the album several times. For the first time, two songs stood out: Singapore Sadie and The Day That I Give In. Now it would be harder to pick individual songs because everyone is good. Great album!

I was very confused when I saw the title as there is a brilliant album of the same name by Nigel Mazlyn Jones (a real gem for fans of John Martyn and Dan Arborise). Obviously this is not the same album. Have seen Richard Thompson live and although enjoyable I would not rush out and buy his albums. However, this is nothing short of excellent and will certainly get it - I should imagine on a decent hifi and headphones this sounds even better. So we now have two albums of the same name ‘Ship to Shore’ and both should be IMO in everybody’s collection.

I've been a fan of Richard Thompson since the mid '70s. With this album this legendary musician is still going strong in HIS 70s! Another amazing album to add to his catalog of classics.

The greats always skip Michigan. On his site, I see a bajillion NY dates, some OH, PA, a MA, CT, IL, WI, MN, but no MI. All states covered which are around MI.
