@@frederickmuhlbauer9477 Yes you are very right as Starmer will just continue what the Tories were doing and actually speed it up. Going back to the cows - yes back in the late 60's and living in the country we worked on the farms for pocket money. I recall milking 160 cows after school or twice a day in holidays for 50p a day if full day. Yes at 16 did not really come across girls as a priority at that time but ( excuse the next bit was a fact of life not rude) I used to pull about 1200 tits a day as part of washing and cleaning udders before placing the milking clusters. No automatic systems then and back earlier had to learn to hand milk our own cow into a bucket at the age of 5-6 years, as did 000's boys and girls. A politician cannot open a tin can of beans themselves. We are going downhill fast, nearly a cliff and soon will be. Wake up people and think of the children as this is the legacy that we seem to be content to leave them - which indeed is an insult to the very principals and morals of parenthood. Keep up your honesty Richard.

It’s always easier to see what we believe to be everyone else’s flaws. The day we no longer see fault in everyone different from us, is when we are truly awakened. As neurotypical people I know it is difficult, since it’s very much in your nature to be afraid of what is different from you, and then want to change them, based on your beliefs that you have grown up with, and been indoctrinated into believing to be facts, when in fact it’s just a belief that you hold. I’m not judging you for being that way, I’m just letting you know how it looks from a neurodivergent perspective.

Well sorry to say... but not ALL of them! Many are totally unconnected to nature! Not knowing a damn thing about what they call "weeds"! Cutting all our (in the netherlands) wild flowers next to the roads! Nothing left for our bee-friends! They killed all diversity! And they spray so much pesticides that besides killing very important insects, they get alzheimer themselves and they poison our groundwaters!! So A LOT of educating needed to teach farmers how to work WITH nature and not AGAINST as the narrative 'educates' them! I was born in a metropole not knowing anything about plants. But man... was l greatful for the plandemic! It turned my live onehundredandeightyyyyyy degrees! I am now studying wild plants (called "weeds") which are most of all CURING and healthy and perfect to eat! And 3 months a year ~what used to be the summer months of holland...🙄🙄~ l stay in the countryside educating the farmers around me on what they are killing and what could give them the most healthy cows one could wish for... And time after time l'm flabbergasted to see they know NOTHING about nature! Not even their elderly familymembers... S H O C K I N G!

Dear Richard, I come from an agricultural reality in the south of Italy, I spent my youth on the tractor and amongst lemon trees, apricot trees, olive trees, tomato fields, chickens etc. With all the best will in the world, agriculture and farming are not an activity for everyone. 1 - It's not a recreational activity at all when your life depends on it, when I go back doing that even now 25 years later I realise how incredibly tedious and hard, and unrewarding picking lemons from trees is, don't even get me started on picking olives. 2 - It is a very expensive thing to even start doing, buying land and equipment, waiting years and years to see the first (potential, not guaranteed and at times meagre) return on investment. 3 - It is a 100% full time job which takes up basically 365 days per year, those who live from the land proceeds have to be entirely dedicated to and passionate about it, and people simply have many interests and talents and passions that are not farming and agriculture. 4 - Doing it while having a pension or a passive income is one thing, but being young and embarking on it from scratch with no backup income is an entirely different thing.

This is where the elderly generations should be spoken to, and thoroughly learned from. My parents are both from farming backgrounds, and they really knew how to farm! Respected nature, knew the seasons, had empathy for the animals, were clean, tidy, and thought about the best clean ways to do things for the best, natural results. All the crap ways forced upon farmers today is absolutely evil! No farmers deserve to be dictated to, or forced to inject antibiotics/hormones etc into their stock, or spray cancer causing chemicals all over their fruit and veg. No much wonder we have 1 in 2 with Cancer! Time to track down and stop those sick minded, money grabbing fools who see the masses as their experiments!

What an inspiring message… For the last three years, being aware of what’s going on, I have been learning gardening on my small backyard.. I already know what vegetables are easy to grow here, which ones don’t seem to like it. I also have been utilizing various “weedy” plants growing in the grass… In spring I used dandelion flowers to make vinegar and the leaves to make a liquid fertilizer. When I found out that “regular” wild white daisies have health benefits, I started picking them and dry to use them for herbal teas in winter. When mowing the grass, I was leaving patches of daisies to bloom to the point when they shed seeds, so I have more daisies next year. Now, I am doing the same thing with white clover, which on top everything else, is attracting hundreds of bees🐝. Most of my kitchen scraps and grass clippings go into the compost pile. My backyard is far from the most beautiful in the neighbourhood, but I bet it is the most loved by the earthworms😆 (got tons of them)… and that brings me joy😃 . Saint John’s wort’s plant seeded itself and now I am using it’s flowers to make a herbal tea blend along with some others herbs from my garden. (Last year I made some Saint John’s wort infused oil for massage)… The walnut tree has been providing lots of nutritious walnuts every year, except this year …there are very few walnuts…. My 160 square meter yard, has provided me with so much, even though, so far, only a small part of it has been utilized.. The neighbourhood acacia tree provided me abundance of the most beautiful fragrant flowers, so I made 8 litters of delicious acacia flower vinegar! When lilacs were blooming, a farmer at the market gifted me a big bunch of lilac flowers … which I also used them to make some lilac vinegar. Both vinegars I use in the same manner as apple cider vinegar. Much love to you Richard and all Freedom loving folks around the world 💖💥🕊🐝🪴🌾🌻 from Poland

Why has it taken so long for people to realise that it is a ridiculous idea? I think its climate will ensure that Britain is never self--sufficient in food, and will always be partly dependant on imports from other countries, preferably neighbouring ones. I hang a bag of a dozen of my avocados on my neighbour´s gate every week and in return get what firewood I need. This saves me about 500 euros every winter, and (are you listening UK ?) I would be a damn fool to fall out with my neighbour. Last year we pooled our olives to make it worthwhile getting them pressed, and since she´s a dentist and I´m a blacksmith we can be quite useful to each other. Another neighbour helps me water the terraces every Monday, after which we drink beer and smoke and put the world to rights. This mountain can be a harsh place in winter, and the summer sun burns right down to your wishbone, we know we need each other in so many ways --- I never felt that in Britain.

We were pretty much fully self-sufficient in food for most of our history, Britains climate is in many ways brilliant for agriculture. The issue is the powers that be do not want that, what if I told you that the USSR was self-sufficient in Citrus and grew a majority of it in areas where the average winter low was between -8 and -13 celsius! That's colder than even the harshest winters in the south west. Now imagine all of the Citrus fruit orchards/plantations around Cornwall utilising Fruit Trenches or walled gardens. These systems of market gardening, small scale agriculture etc. have all been lost over time, whether that is intentional (Which I suspect is likely at least in part) or another casualty of the modern world we will never know. Likely 6 of one and half a dozen of the other (Or 9 of one and a quarter dozen of the other)

@@bertibear1300 It´s a shame to quell such optimism, but everything I hear from the UK, and Skyping my partner avoiding the heat in Yorkshire showing her in several layers of wool in July, tells me you´re right. With about 8 hours of sun every day, my garden produces more than twenty things I can eat, sell or barter, and my irrigation is independent of rainfall. Solar power gives me electricity and hot water, so on the whole I think climate is a big factor for the UK, both meteorological and political. Both seem to be in terminal decline.

I'm actually fleeing the city in 10 days going back home to the sticks and I am so relieved. I hated growing up there but I am a chronic meditator now. Thanks

It's alright you saying this., Richard..do you know how difficult it is to buy a bit of land to live on ? We have been looking for at least 4 years, with groups of ' like minded people' and on our own. It is time farmers sold 'people' land..not companies.

Worked on a small holding after moving from the place I was a child. From the very start of my teens I was introduced to the farm life. It was wonderful. Fell head over heels for the farmers daughter

I'm not 100% sure of much but that when the SHTF each of us will find ourselves precisely where we need to be, no miss.takes in this movie! Don't worry, be Happy - do both of those. "True happiness comes from making others happy." - A.M.B. 💖 💖🙏💫

You and Julia are a shinning light. Thanks for everything. I was born in the early 50's all this was usual for us, we were never far from a farm and believe it or not I lived in the Midlands, not far from Birmingham city but a million miles away from to-days Brum. My dear dad who fought in WW2 would be sooooo angry. I'm old now and this is not my time anymore, or my life. I have to leave the future to my grandchildren, but they are brainwashed and think I'm a bit odd. History repeats it's self, it takes such a long time to change things Richard, just look back on the 100 yrs wars.

Man i need to get back near to cattle. I lived by breeder herds once, and I miss them. I loved the bulls, what an animal. Esp the Belgian Blues, they're incredible beasts. I also lived in a tent once in fields also home to perhaps 80 young bulls. They chased me into the river once as I got caught by their water hole one early morning stroll - I saw them enter the field in the distance uh-oh - they saw me - I ran - but as anyone will find out - they can run significantly faster lol, it was f****g hilarious and I had to vault into the river Windrush just before they trampled me. Took me the best part of an hour to figure it out, as I was now surrounded by 80 bulls, up above me on the bank - they had the upper hoof and are super curious and exhuberant. I ended up with large rushes from the river that I fashioned into a massive fan above my head to scare them off. It worked, and I got them to back off . . Man you discover who you really are, eh.

Yes, some of us saw it was a good move decades ago but we're the minority. One will never regret buying land, in the long run - that is until they turf us off it 😅

Very jealous! Desperately miss my farming days. Contemplating whether to go back into it before it's gone completely. Best place in the world being around cows!

Thank so much Richard. We absolutely agree with you. I look forward to getting back to our old ways. At 67 I remember how it used to be. We didn't have much money but by golly we were happier then and we had proper conversations and community spirit!!
