Of course, english is world-widely spreaded, which doesn't mean it is a standard. It should, maybe, but it is not...standards are useful. Did you read my comment? It says I'me not french...but my motherlanguage is! It is the standard language in other countries than France, you know, 12AX. But this was not about standards... I meant culture, variety and border crossing mutual respect. Does this ring a bell?
