Those Sac teams were so awesome. They totally deserved that 2002 title

The Lakers never let them get that 2002 title.

@@hectorlopez1069 look up Tim Doanghy. He has been interviewed about this series before. It's a well known and well accepted fact that the refs screwed with the results of this series. Lakers were still amazing, but Sac got super bad calls in that Game 6.

@@BassUndertow And also look up Pedowitz report. BTW, Game 4 of the 2002 WCF was more of a killer for the Kings than Games 6 and 7.

Wow, this guy was my idol as a 10 year old kid. He led the Pius X Warriors from Downey Ca to the CIFSS championship game and they REALLY got robbed. His brother Clete was a teacher of mine in HS and his mother was my 7th grade teacher. He even worked for my dad at his drive thru dairy for a short time. His brother Frank was ASB president when I was a 6th grader. Great family!! And what a great darn coach! Congrats Rick, you sure deserve it. I only hope you and your whole family and anyone reading this know our Lord Jesus Christ personally. He will save you for all eternity my friends!!!

@@sokof6001 Where's the banner at the Golden 1 Center? All I saw was the 1951 World Championship banner as the Rochester Royals.

@@sokof6001 And it reads, 2002 NBA World Champions Los Angeles Lakers. So by your logic, the Golden State Warriors stole the Houston Rockets' 2018 NBA title? Sour grapes from you.

I’ve been a laker since the 80s and I can tell you the referees were cheating! At the end of the day it was good for the NBA for the Lakers to 3peat! So stop trolling

I personally believe that championships mean a lot for a player and for a coach, but never winning a championship doesn’t make you a less talented coach. This coach like other coaches who never won a championship in her career for me were some of the most talented coaches.
