Fun fact about that first scene where Rick is totally wasted is that the voice actor who plays Rick really was wasted as shit when he did that scene.

Rick and Morty is one of my most favorite cartoon shows, the titular duo and their voice acting, the intense lore and worldbuilding, the hilarious moments, and the sci-fi technologies and gadgetry are all spectacular

Here’s the thing with Rick and Morty. They were no idea what to do back to the future parodies doc and Marty, but they couldn’t get the sign off on the series to use the characters so they wrote the script change the names originally they were supposed to have a time machine, but now it’s a portal gun

Fun Fact! Justin Roiland voices both Rick AND Morty, and with the exception of the family, almost everyone else . Plus, it's mostly improv. This whole series is basically Justin's existential crisis/arguing with himself while sitting in the corner of a round room. @__@

but they showed a meta-canon of Snowball fighting cats in season 4 and when it comes to portals that kill you always see blood coming out and a blender sound, that whole theory is just wrong 😂

- Rick & Morty was originally going to be called “The Real Animated Adventures of Doc & Mharti” which was a parody of the Back to the Future franchise which resulted in Rick being based on Dr. Emmett Brown who can at least drink more than a glass of liquor - Notice inside the Interdimensional Customs you can see various silhouettes of famous characters like: Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot, & Gypsy (MST3K), Big Bird & Mr. Snuffleupagus (Sesame Street), Xenomorph (Alien), the alien from Space Invaders, Quark (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) which you can see another Ferengi after Morty has “hidden the seeds”, & a Mooninite (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) - Snuffles now known as Snowball is voiced by Rob Paulson while Scary Terry is voiced by Jess Harnell which both voiced the 2 Warner Brothers that being Yakko & Wakko - The title of the episode “Lawnmower Dog” is a reference to “The Lawnmower Man” where a scientist endows a mentally-challenged gardener with super-intelligence later becoming evil, but the plot of this episode is based on series that Justin Roiland pitched for Cartoon Network called “Dog World” which was about a family of humans get sucked into a portal to an alternate dimension where Dogs are smart & Humans are pets (Ruffles was going to be the main character) - Snuffles wanting to be called Snowball is also maybe a France to the character Snowball the pig from “Animal Farm”

Something I had heard was that the script writers were given an executive limit on how many times they could say 'Rick and Morty' in a season, but the number given was ridiculously high and so they turned into a joke just to see if it was even possible to HIT that limit. Not sure how true it is, and I can't find any evidence to back it up, but it brings a smile to my face and so I'm sharing it here.

See, Im lucky. I have 3 families. My moms side, my dads side and my stepdads side. None of them fight during holidays so its just a big party 3x each holiday lol. Its fucking awesome. Love my family.

Also, they are all 3 different. Dads side is the oldschool country folk type but without the southern accent. Midwest family that likes to fish, cook, drink beer, smoke some weed and just have a great time. Moms side is more like a loose group of newer aged type ppl less about the oldschool stuff and just straight forward. They drink and play games like bags, washers and whatever. My stepdads side is a bit more proper in a way but loosely lol. No prudes or Karens. Good senses of humor but w less crazy shit lol. So I have a perfect mix.
