Lazzo doesn't get enough credit for knowing his shit. Adult Swim as a production studio has always tried to raise the bar on animation, and Rick and Morty is just another product of that, like The Boondocks before it and Space Ghost before that. Yeah but YPFIGTH is like a comedic take on the fires of hell and sadomasochism, so punching bag "works" for that show, it's basically the entirety of it's concept ...yet I'd still agree that Lazzo's probably not the biggest fan, seeing as I don't like it either for that exact reason. Lol..I mean there's very-little-to-no conflict in that show, which he was trying to avoid in R&M

Also it mainly links back to Morty's voice, which is also sounds like most of the shows voices. Morty shouldn't be the defining factor, if you're complaining about those messing with it, you shouldn't watch it. A load of characters are like Morty just he happens to be forefronted

It always happens when things get too big. People start shitting in the water hole. Happened with WoW, happened with Star Trek/Star Wars, Happened with Avatar (LoK was trash after Season 1 fight me).
