Maybe its because of this limited amount if summers is why she's so smart. She's the true equation of her mother and father.

Idk of Morty truly act like Jerry. His dad is more egotistical and self centered then Morty is. Morty generally try to keep peace and have fun, and doesn't put his own needs as priority over the greater good or other people's needs. Jerry, on the other end, start by doing something stupid or egotistical, and will start doing better things at the end when he learn a lesson. Like when he had a day alone with Rick, he was willing to let him be killed of until he started getting along with him. Morty is never putting himself as more important, in the purge episode, he put himself in danger to help someone he doesn't know.

Beth, unfortunately for her, is exactly like Rick. She tries to deny it for her own sanity, and only to make herself feel better about herself. When her mask comes off she IS exactly like a Rick. She's his daughter and typically when a child (in this case Beth) physically looks like one parent they get the other parents mentality.

Morty is not like Jerry, I mean, maybe in the first season he was, but now he's more like Rick, or even Beth.

What the hell are you talking about? Morty has more compasion than anyone else in the show by far, and Jerry has zero. I don;t get why Morty and Jerry are lumped together so often. They are nothing alike.

Jerry is a complete coward, and Beth is only slightly more compassionate than her father. Summer is slightly more compassionate than Beth, and Morty flips around. Stupid Morty is much more compassionate than the rest of the family when Morty flips and becomes more intelligent, he is less compassionate than Rick. Morty is a mystery, and Summer isn't completely fleshed out, they both need more development, and it is too early to determine who's the smartest and/or most compassionate.

Morty does not have more compassion than Summer. He would have killed Rick just because he was annoyed by him in 3x01. He also did not care about tiny Rick and only wanted to get with Jessica but Summer cared more about him than her popularity. And let's not forget how he enjoyed killing even more than Rick during the purging festival. Jerry has some compassion too and while he may put his children in danger, he regrets it later. Heck, he regretted trying to kill Rick.

@@jennw.6508 they aren't replacements, during season 1 Rick and Morty couldn't stop the world from cronenberging so they moved to a different universe where Rick and Morty had just died there for making it seem like they had never died. During I believe season 3 ep 1 summer and Morty use dead Rick's portal gun to travel to mortys orginal universe however they get the gun destroyed. Then council of Rick's send a team of Rick's to capture summer and Morty, freezing the original universes Summer, Jerry and Beth. Very much like how Rick froze mortys bully during season 1. Let's hope they didnt fall over.

She's much faster than Morty when adapting to new situations, and it's been shown that Morty can fuck up basic instructions (like what light switch to turn on). I do agree that Morty has outdone Rick as well and has become more competent through experience, but his main strength is his emotional intelligence & consideration for others (something the rest of his family lacks).

I'm not sure for exactly the same reasons the video points out. Summer can be mean out of insecurity but she's not really malicious. If you look at her actions she is consistently the most moral and objectively good person in the family. She could easily be a nemesis like unity because she gets power and uses it to make others like her or to establish order but I don't see a version of Summer that is selfish or sadistic really doing well in the universe. Maybe a Summer that didn't have her Grandpa Rick or Beth to mold her worldview, but I think an Evil Morty is much more likely.

I hope next season will show "The Sorority of Summers". A whole season of how they are keeping the multiverses safe from Ricks.

I really don't agree with that. The very reason that makes evil morty so interesting is the apparent improbability of his existence, and the constrast between him and regular mortys (which are dumb innocent, unresourceful creatures). "Evil Summer" on the other hand, as the video pointed out, wouldn't be such a stretch from her regular character, making it less interesting, at least to me.

I think a lot of people hate summer because she seem at first like the "stereotypical wanna be popular cute girl", and in some episode of the first season, she did seem this way. I can see the points about female writers but is how not devoting the series to Summer sexism. If you want a good animated show about a female, go and make it, and don't complain about a show devoting most of its time to its main characters. The female writers thing is somewhat sexism, but it is also somewhat related to the lowering of hiring standards to meet female quotas. Either way, I enjoyed the 3rd season so I wouldn't know whether it was more sexism or people not liking season 3 and thinking that the new female writers aren't as good.
