I remember Larson complaining a couple of weeks ago that Ross pulls this stuff and never has to pay the price and this time Larson said "If you take me out I'm taking you with me" .... I would have loved to seen Larson's in-car camera as he was pushing Ross a couple of hundreds yards sideways down the track .... I think Nascar might have to step in at some point when you got the owner giving the green light for retribution, but you know I think it's good for TV and good for Nascar either way. I don't think they should suspend but I am a big fan of probation and I'm not even sure Nascar does this anymore but it's very useful in sending a message without penalizing directly.

Today's drivers need to watch film from the 70,s 80,s and ,90,s the drivers who were racing for the win had a great respect for each other, yes there were some crashes at the end of the race,but for the most part they raced each other with respect. I have been watching/going, to Cup races for the last 30 years and the drivers we have in this era are so damn talented they just need to have some patience and more focus on the race they are running, and damn have some beating and banging, but there's no need to wreck each other.

I don't understand if Larson didnt run him up the track a few laps before. I think he would have raced him a cleaner coming off that last caution. im sure when you pay upwards of 600k for a race car and someone just goes out and crashes you week after week and not only you... as an owner... you are keeping a tally. when you go to track house and tell them... look you need to talk to your driver... and they dont listen. pay back will be delivered to more than just the 1.

Ross isn't doing anything that the old greats of NASCAR didn't do back in the day. The difference is that over the years, NASCAR has gotten a lot softer & less tolerant of the old-school bump-and-run, fender-banging style of driving. I think NASCAR needs to get back to the more aggressive style of old-school Cup racing, as that is what put the sport on the map. We need more Ross Chastains out there!

I got a question... Is Chastain breaking rules? If he is what rules? And if what hes doing so bad then why isnt Nascar stepping in? Hes racing and hes in the lead for points. If other drivers dont want to do what it takes to win then Continue riding in the back and being a clean racer. How many people are like man that driver may never one anything but he races clean... Seems NASCAR is intentionally ambiguous about whether they will react to various such types of incidents. Would love to hear their internal discussions about drawing the line between maximizing the controversy and "interest generated" by these "story lines" and the risking of coming off looking too much like wrasslin. And, what are the rules/laws about plain ole assault and battery on such playing fields? For example, do hockey fights ever lead to lawsuits?
