For real!! I was genuinely surprised when she said Shane was just as bad as Ed...like, what?! Ed literally beats his wife (multiple times, obviously, long before the group got together, and even now, considering they said Carol would show up with bruises). He's also abusive toward their DAUGHTER, who is a child! Shane then beat the shit out of Ed, and frankly, I'm glad he did. Whether he was using Ed as a way to take his anger on the situation with Lori, Rick, and Carl, I'm still fully in support of abusers getting fucked up lol Ed fully deserved that, and I've held that opinion for years, back when I was watching the show while season 2 had just begun airing.

I don't think people feel bad for Ed necessarily. It think the worst is that he's about to kill him in front of Carol and the brutality of the way he's doing it. Most people don't want to see someone murdered, let alone that fashion. Just like Merle is a trash ass human being, who deserved to be cuffed and left behind, but a lot people don't want to , even if it's deserving. Me personally don't give a fuck because I would have finished Ed off with a Bruce Lee stomp to the chest, but I can understand why people are like, "Bruh, okay, you can stop now! He got the message! CHILL!". I probably would have killed him, or took it as far as felt really bad killing him that way, especially in front of Carol. Purposely killing someone, with your bare hands nonetheless, is a serious thing and having blood on your hands, literally and metaphorically, should be a very thought-out decision... Also, the audience is very much away that although is probably pissed about Ed hitting his wife, a good portion of that rage at that moment, probably most of it, is because of it frustration due to the upsetting conversation he literally just had with Lori. Shane is simply taking it out on Ed, despite him not really being the source...

Also the fact that he was shot 2 times in the heart and it was months since the apocalypse started

I disagree. I understand him thinking it was a logical conclusion but it's wrong to just say that. Get her to safety. Tell her he's most likely dead based on what he saw but that you didn't see it. Shane isn't innocent in this.

I think Lori's issue is because Lori/Shane's relationship was based on a lie that Shane told. A lie that Shane mostly told as a straight fact and not an assumption. Lori doesn't know the whole situation, just the pieces that she'd been given...

Do people forget that Shane got drunk and sexually assaulted Lori? Like feel bad for a guy all you want but once he crossed that line I couldn’t feel any sympathy towards him I did a little at first cause he was just tossed away like trash the second Rick came back and even though it was logical to say Rick was dead, once Rick came back and Lori told him that she wants to be with her husband that shouldve been it But he’s the one who held a grudge and caused tension because he couldn’t handle that Lori was only with him solely cause Rick was gone and he was there

@@martinacosta3821 Also regardless of that, it's a pretty normal reaction for someone in that situation to seek comfort in another, and Shane was the only familiar figure at the camp AND got Lori and Carl out of Atlanta so it makes total sense. Helps that he was the only single man her age there, too. She knew he'd protect her and her kid, and sex is a very common coping mechanism amidst grief. You can debate on the moral implications, but psychologically, it makes total sense, plus those marriage issues!

It's crazy to me that people make this a controversy, like who the f cares. she thought he was dead and it's the end of the fcking world? It's not a big deal, wouldn't have been even without the world ending. People act like it's the worst thing a character has done, when they do 10 times worse is doing my head in..

Sex is not only a common coping mechanism amidst grief, but, in general, something a lot of adults do amidst crisis to try and get their minds off of the immediate peril of their situation. Yes, I strongly dislike Lauri as a character, but none of the reasons I dislike her stem from her decision to start a sexual relationship with Shane. If anything, that's one of the very few decisions she makes that I can understand and excuse. (That, and people act like she was just happily having sex with Shane without feeling a smidgeon of guilt and/or consideration for her "late" husband? It's shown multiple times that she's conflicted and probably self-loathing about the fact that she's sleeping with another man so soon after her husband's death, and her horror at realizing what she's done when she finds out Rick is alive is immediate upon the euphoria and relief wearing off. You can tell that she is not a woman who is happy with her choices.)

I NEVER hated Lori. I actually surprised when I realised that people hate Lori. She made bad decisions and that's it, everyone has made bad decisions multiple times, and she always apologise in the end. And it boggles my mind whenever people insinuate that Lori was the one who gave the incentive to Rick to kill Shane. I mean what? She was just saying that Shane was dangerous. Rick killing Shane has nothing to do with what Lori said. Shane was going to kill Rick, and Rick prevented it by killing him, that's it no further implication. And also the same thing happened at Shane story. People blamed Lori for Shane wanted to get rid of Rick. They said Lori was giving Shane an opening for him to her, thus it gave the incentive for Shane to kill Rick. Bruh, give her a break, Shane was just thirsty douchebag that desperate for a woman's love. Lori was just apologising to Shane, and he thought it was an opening to get her back 💀. Lori was the victim, Shane was always the one to blame. Lori is almost like Haruno Sakura. She always had good intentions, but unfortunately the outcome of her good-intent action always turned to sht and did the opposite of what she intended.

no spoilers, but Shane was definetly a bad guy. At this point he hadn't done anything too bad though. Except sleeping with his best friends wife without coming clean that he left rick in a coma. Shane definetly would've left Merle on the roof, and Ed was trash, but Shane overreacted.You're not a great leader with anger issues like that.

I will not say anything else, because of spoilers, but imagine what would happen if zombies could do these things later in the show.

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2 AND SEASON 3 EPISODE 5 Ikr. And then again in season 2 when Rick and lori basically tell him that he can never speak to his own friggin daughter and he has to just stand there and watch another man raise her after all he did for them. I'm only starting to realise it now after watching it all back but lori is actually such a c*nt I'm glad she died.

Where the show messed up with the triangle between Rick, Lori, and Shane is deciding to keep Shane around and keep the relationship drama drug out for filler, but also staying as close as possible to the source material. For that reason I feel Lori's character development suffers in the show. In the comics it's easier to see how she felt because everything comes out quicker. I understand why the show chose the route they did though, tough decision on what to do with her and Shane for a show with 45ish minute episodes I would imagine
