Imagine being a woman with a small child, your husband dies and the world completely falls apart with zombies trying to eat you.... you might find comfort in the man who is closest to you, who is protecting you and your son.... you just might feel like you need a quick replacement for the role your husband had. (Not cool in real life, but understandable in a zombie apocalypse)

As much as I dislike Lori sometimes I truly believe she would not have taken up with Shane if she knew Rick was alive Now I know it happened pretty fast but it was the Apocalypse not normal circumstances And remember at the time Rick was shot he and Lori were having marital issues Shane was probably there for Lori and Carl the whole time and when shit went down and they had to bail that only brought them closer.

Shane obviously told Lori "I saw Rick die" because if Lori thought there was a POSSIBILITY of Rick being alive, she wouldn't have left Atlanta. So technically Shane saved her life by lying to her, but he also left Rick for dead.

The hypocrisy of hating Lori but not Shane is wild. And it’s also super ironic cause they’re both in the wrong but the funny part is neither of them really is. They both made a mistake. Shane thought Rick died, his best friend and Lori thought the same-husband gone. They both sought comfort in each other.

U can’t blame her and she must be so confused and second guessing everything Shane told her. Also, it’s been like 59 days that Rick was out when the end started. He’s only been at the camp for a day so he’s totally new to this world and Shane and Loris relationship

I believe that Shane really thought Rick was dead, I think he was trying to be a stand up guy and protect his friends wife and kid. In such scary times, things happen and bonds are formed. I don't blame any of them for the situation. Lori was right to go back to her husband, and she has to feel that guilt! Shane does sort of get the short end of the stick. He tried his best to keep them safe, realized he crossed the line, but had developed real feelings for Lori and Carl and he is the one who ends up with nothing but a broken heart. I don't blame any of them and feel they are all the underdogs in one way or another.

you guys are seriously overlooking the fact they are in a zombie apocalypse when discussing shane and lori relationship.

Shane confirmed to Lori that Rick was dead so she has a right to be pissed. Right now Shane is mostly to be blamed because in Lori's mind she would've never touched him if she knew her husband was still alive. Shane is an asshole for sleeping with his best friend's wife 5 minutes after his "death" and so is Lori. They're both wrong but Shane is slightly worse.

I feel like Lori was the first person to see Shane for what he was-which makes sense, because women have to be able to clock a dangerous guy who’ll put his pride ahead of everyone else in everyday life. She saw how Shane was reacting to Rick’s return, she suspected she’d been manipulated, and she cut things off. She knew, y’all.

I love that you guys have different opinions and views on the show, like the whole Rick, Lori and Shane situation. This show does that a lot really makes you debate on the characters choices and try and think what would you do in their place. I feel for both Lori and Shane, Lori is second guessing Shane since he told her that Rick died and then he got with her but I think Shane definetly believed that Rick was dead and of course he is happy with his return but yeah it´s also awkward. Interestingly enough, Merle Dixon is not a character from the comics. He was made for this show and the same goes for Daryl Dixon. Even more interesting is that Norman Reedus originally auditioned for the role of Merle Dixon. Unlucky for him, at the time of his audition, AMC had already casted Michael Rooker as Merle Dixon. The producers, however, liked Norman Reedus’ audition so much that they created Daryl Dixon for the show specifically for Norman Reedus.

I think Shane and Lori is understandable. They were already familiar with each other. He was protecting them. And they reminded each other of Rick. It’s a slap in the face to Rick but understandable. In my opinion, it's Shane's fault for the relationship happening, but Lori's fault for how she handles it when Rick comes back. You can't be letting this man play Daddy to your son for 3/4 months and then one day later say that he can no longer have anything to do with your child, there was nothing wrong with Shane being a role-model/Uncle to Carl, nor should Carl have had anything to do with their personal relationship. Just because she's no longer seeing Shane doesn't mean Carl should be forced to stay away from him too. Shane actually wanted to try and engage in a conversation about what to do moving forward, which she immediately shut down

You ain’t deaf. Take it up damn chain of command‘….. later in his commentary he says he spent 16 months in the stockade, you can find his whole spiel on IMDB, plus being in the military he learned how to survive, 👍😀 2 1/2 months from the start of the apocalypse to when Rick wakes up, I personally thought it was awful fast for Lori to get with anyone let alone Shane, whether Rick was dead or not, so she can not blame it all on Shane, it was both, 😏👍 Have a safe and wonderful weekend, 👋😀👋
