Hey Rick, I like the strategy but I think there’s better EV betting the flex play for the 4 pick and 3 pick combos, with the 2 picks bet individually. Pays out more on the 3 pick wins for the same total bet, which is the bulk of the winning outcomes.

What is the cutoff for the odds number you are using? Like are you not going worse than -135? If it’s -120 are you not using that one?

Lots of plays today! Dylan Bundy o3.5 Ks was sitting there at -170 on DK but also available to play in Prize Picks Also o0.5 runs, first inning was a qualified pick -145, that also cashed.

I divided up this method into two parlay groups today White Sox v Guardians u0.5 runs 1st inning (-150) Orioles v Athletics u0.5 runs 1st inning (-150) Reds v Padres u0.5 runs 1st inning (-145) Luis Garcia HOU o4.5 Ks (-155) FvVleet u3.5 made threes Maxey u3.5 assists Will Barton o4.5 rebounds Alex Cobb o4.5 Ks

If you hit 3/4 you get 30% profit but if you hit 4/4 you get 3x ? How is that better than just putting all units on a 4 leg flex? please help me understand

the lines may be weak but the payouts in many cases are ridiculously low. Think you will find out as time goes on this is not going to be the gold mine you think it is.

Me and my friend love looking for lines that are off from site to site, so this is going to be a lot of fun for us to try out and see what works best for us! Thanks for this video. I think people don't realize that if you want, you can choose to be extremely selective until you find a line that is way off, and that might be the way to go. Are you allowed to do singles of props on the site?

Not on PrizePicks. It must be at least two from different teams. PrizePicks 5 or 6 leg are the best to play as they are like -120 each Underdog 3 leg are the best as they are -122 and 3 leg obviously has lower variance

So you do the 2 team parlay on DK for $ 100 and win $ 287. Dont you get also get back the $ 100 you bet ? On Prize Picks, you make a $ 100 2 pick wager and win $ 300, but you dont get back the bet amount. So your account shows $ 300 in it, where your DK account shows $ 387. Do I have that wrong ?

Hey Rick, one problem with the math on your example scenario is that you didn’t factor in Draft Kings sports books juice. So for example one of the 1st inning run total was over 1/2 a run -145 but the under 1/2 was only +110. So the true line is right in the middle of -145 and +110 or about -127. So that’s the number your %’s should be based on not the -145. And if you ran the math there I’m guessing your $1100 bet example is pretty close to break even. IMO to have any significant edge you better be finding things listed on Draft Kings at -150 minimum or higher with no other handicapping information.

Super valid point, the breakeven “true” odds you need are closer to -135 or so. Definitely worth searching for -150 or better.

This is an excellent point Craig. To take it a step further, because the payouts are different for the 2X, 3X and 4X Power Plays, the breakeven percentage will also be different. You need to win 33% of bets to break even on 2X PPs, 20% on 3X PPs, and 10% on 4X PPs. So for individual bets that make up these plays you need -135 (2X PPs), -141 (3X PPs), and -129 (4X PPs) or better to be a true +EV arb opportunity. Surprisingly the 4X plays hold the best value and in Rick's example within the video, 3X plays should probably just be avoided all together.

1 Major flaw with this. -145 does not mean the true Prob of event occurring is 59.18%. that -145 still has the vig in it. You are taking 1-59.18% to get to Prob of event not occurring. What you did here was just remove all the vig from the Prob of event not occurring. Instead of proportionally removing it from both sides. All this to say you Prob of events occurring is too high and therefore you EV is for sure is inflated and possibly negative here in this situation. Not sure by how much...didn't wanna do the math.

The vig is being proportionately removed from both sides. Also now takes into account lines that don’t match. Often times in your favor.

So if you lose 10 of these in a row, you’ll have lost $11,000 (10x$1,100=$11,000) and therefore you’ll need to hit all 4 props three times in a row (3x$3700=$11,100) to break even? Good luck with that.

You’re twice as likely to win all four, three times in a row than you are to lose ten in a row. And you don’t have to do it the way I laid out. You can find what works for you.

This is a silly comment for a lot of reasons. Obviously because I informed you that you would lose half the time. The other part is that I filmed it a few days ago, not when it was released. Both MLB ones hit that day, both NHL ones lost. So you’re right and you’re wrong. RIP
