51:30 Whoever is complaining about your break 75 commentary is a muppet. I appreciate the thought process behind each player and the actual score that you're playing at makes no difference. Hi Rick and Guy, just watched the show, as always, enjoyable thanks. Ok here goes, I am 67 yrs young, always played but had a break of 25 years due life style. Finished on H/C 18 with a bad slice. Retired and took it up again, still with a slice. Struggled to break 100 then discovered your channel, and, with some great coaching videos and practical advice (also a new set of clubs Tour Edge) over the past year I am playing the best golf of my life, dropped to genuine H/C 16 and striking the ball so well. I would just like to say to both you, thank you and keep up the great work.

Go for the Open. Keep the dream alive! Looking forward to the 200th episode. Scottie v Rahm v Rory? Probably depends on the course as much as anything, but having an international top 3 is great for the game along with solid golfers from East Asia and South America. If/when LIV matures in a couple of years we need a world championship match: LIV v PGA. Thanks Guy(s) , great show.

I listened with some interest to the thoughts on how you both felt that having some certainty on what you’d shoot could be boring, I kind of have that as my goal, get consistent and then start to lower the range I shoot between? So a bad round was may be an 86 and now I never feel like I’m going to shoot worse than an 84, and a good round with a card in my hand is mid 70’s and I don’t ever feel like it’s boring I have something to focus on good and average days?

Going back to your running analogy for a moment regarding having a good round vs. having a not so good round. If you normally shoot 86 a 15% difference is shooting 99. If your PR for a 10k run is 20 minutes - 15% is 3 minutes....it would be easy to struggle a little and run a 23 minute 10k...if it's hot for example, or humid, or windy....same like conditions can affect a golf score. It really isn't all that different.

Money is the thing that turns me off LIV the most. I don't care that people are making a lot of money, I just find it very unbecoming to shout about. It's one of the many reasons that The Open is the foremost major; the money isn't a factor. It's like when Rose won the Olympics, he didn't care that there was no money on the line, it was all about the prestige.
@franciscoguerrero4246

Interesting point of view. I actually like Liv golf, and don’t mind them shouting about the money. Its a little odd how so many people are “turned off” from Liv, when golf is probably the most expensive sport to play…

@@franciscoguerrero4246 Me buying a putter for myself is a wildly separate thing to seeing people boast about the £150m contract they signed. And let me assure you, golf is far from the most expensive sport; my bikes are a testament to that.
@franciscoguerrero4246
@franciscoguerrero4246 Жыл бұрын
@@LongbranchOlivetti sure, cycling 🚴‍♂️ on or off road is an expensive sport, but its not in the same category. Or at least thats how I like to think of it. Out of all the ball, stick, and hand/foot sports, its the most expensive to start and maintain. Secondly, all Im saying is how could you complain about someone boasting of being compensated for being good at a hard as heck sport, in a negative way 🤔. Im sure every man and woman who is at the top of their game, earning £150M, would boast about it. Im not saying you would have to degrade others about it, but if you work hard for it and earn it, why not celebrate it. Why do you have to go and hide it? That makes 0 sense.

I would not worry too much about Brookes Koepka getting you thrown out of the VIP suite at the open. He came across as a self absorbed, immature idiot. On the flip side Tony Finau - who I would love to see you play with - came across as just a class human being. I did not know much about him before the documentary and he is now my favorite player on tour - how can you not root for that guy. I suppose growing up in a mining village is South Yorkshire we have similar values - family first. In regards to WM Phoenix open. I had the privilege of being invited to one of the suites on hole 16. The food and drinks are unlimited… they provide a bracelet where you scan for a drink but they hardly scan them. It was one hell of a vibe. but They had warning signs all around to not throw drinks. I think this played a part of the crowd being well behaved but it was still a massive party. It’s definitely something you need to experience.

My wife works at ATLA ski area, since Rick is having a hard time finding sausage rolls….
